Launcher shows only a quarter!

i’m also having the same problem with the launcher showing a quarter of a screen. changing my windows display scaling to 100% does not fix it.

Right click on your launcher
Select Properties
Select Compatibility Tab > Change high DPI settings
Check the box "Use this setting to fix scaling problems..."
In the box "Use the DPI that's set for my main display when" set to "I open this program"
In the "High DPI scaling override box " select the check box and set to "System"
Select ok
Select apply
Select ok

Thank you for taking the time to post that. Its was annoying me for a while since it first started. Only today did I finally googled and found your fix within minutes.

Disregard this post I figured it out. I was right clicking on the Launcher folder at first, then tried opening the folder and right clicking the launch icon instead and now all is good.

Came across this thread while looking for a solution to this problem. Followed the instructions but have no compatability mode available?. I am not using steam and my OS is Windows 10 Home Edition v2004 everything up to date.

Most problems with the launcher are problems with IE settings, because the launcher uses MSHTML.dll (the Trident browser engine than is also used for IE) to display most of what it shows.

Anyway, on Windows 10 you can disable scaling selectively for each app by setting it's compatibility properties.
Don't forget to thank this guy for giving us the idea!

Thankyou it worked

find program folder C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Elite Dangerous

Thanks Morbad and 3NitroT6; I had the same problem and your advice resolved it.

I made my purchase through Steam. I'm new to the game and only tinkered around a little, waiting for when I had a chance to upgrade my PC which was overdue. I completed the upgrade and went to play ED and was surprised to encounter this issue. Naturally, I thought it was something I did but I suppose the timing was just coincidental.

Kudos to nitro, been bugging me for a while - now I can access all the window. Thanks man :¬)
