Not sure if this was ever mentioned or announced, but Dataslate has now moved to a separate podcast on Itunes, so you have to go and subscribe to it - I was just about to post that Episode 9 was missing, and then I realised it's been moved to a separate podcast stream.

Apologies, I probably should have mentioned it, but I'm so snowed under with work at the moment a few things are slipping me by.

Owing to requests on this thread and Twitter, we created a new feed for Dataslate.

I grant you that Psykokow's jokes are sometimes in need a of perhaps some minor improvements or embellishments, but I thought that the "Stick your face in a jelly" comment went criminally without recognition in ep 64.

Very funny :)

Just finished listening to #64. I totally concur with Drew's comments about Powerplay adding little or nothing to the lone pilots gameplay and really not being in the spirit of the Elite game we have all come to know and love thus far. I don't really understand (and am actually pretty disillusioned by) the fact that FD have poured so much resource into ing around with this Risk simulator (that I have no interest in really) when I'd really MUCH rather they spent their timing filling the galaxy with more interesting things for the lone pilot to encounter. I'd put a lot of faith in the much touted "complete overhaul" of the mission system, and currently it has totally failed to deliver the narrative based adventures I so hoped it would. Don't let me puts words in your mouth but it really sounded like you guys were struggling to find anything especially positive to say about PowerPlay.

I know you think the forums are very negative, I disagree and hate that I seem to be reinforcing that view here. There's actually a lot of love going around (look at the buckyball, fuel rats or explorer threads), I just hope FD don't lose sight of Braben's original vision 'cos that's why we're all here isn't it? (Do you think PowerPlay was DB's idea? 'cos I don't).

I think we struggled to link powerplay to the universe, and see how it makes for a living universe feel when its quite so 'gamey'.... but thank you for your feedback and comments..

Once I recognised John Stabler's voice at the start of episode 64 I thought how pleasant it was to hear him in the podcast again, however a minute or two later when he started whining about how nobody had missed him I changed my mind about the needy so-and-so.
