Community Event / Creation Lavecon 2015

This event will take place on the weekend of the 11-12th of July.

Details below from Karen:

Booking should be online on Monday and will include Hotel rooms (at the venue) and food options. The location will be announced at this point.

Volunteers will be free to attend and charged at a discounted rate for food and hotel room. If you would like to volunteer and feel you would qualify for the volunteer rate then please contact me to confirm and discuss the volunteer role you would like to do.

Please note: Bookings made at the volunteer rate that are not confirmed with the organising team will be cancelled or charged at the full rate.

We would be really pleased if people are able to book early as this gives us (and the venue) some confidence about meeting minimum numbers to run the event. We would ask that you don't book rooms directly with the venue as these will not count towards our minimum number to make the event viable. We do not currently have camping options, but will look into whether this is possible at the venue or if there is camping nearby.

The venue is a very flexible space with different function rooms and we hope to fill these with a variety of activities.

I will do when we have made the final confirmation. I intentionally didn't do this as I've learned its best to be absolutely certain of everything you state.

We have a final conversation to have on Monday, then I will confirm that the location and (hopefully) get bookings open.

It was last time, but the new venue hasn't been announced yet. Assuming the venue is okay (which it should be as most licensed businesses are) then the activities themselves are all very wheelchair friendly.

Bookings are now live. The venue is The Sedgebrook Hall Hotel in Northamptonshire.

There is an early-bird discount on bookings that runs through October. After this prices will go up.

Re: Wheelchairs - should be fine. I recall ramps on our visit and was looking at that when evaluating the decision to use this location. I will specifically inquire with the venue next week.

It would be great if you could book hotel rooms only from Friday to saturday and even Sunday to Monday as addons.

Since I have already booked, maybe this could be added on to an existing booking.

No problem. We'll speak with the hotel about this and get a solution posted as soon as possible. Likely to be Monday before we know at the earliest.
