Will the PS 4 allow me to use both a Hotas and a PS4 controller at the same time like we can on the PC?
Will we get "Trophies" in the (non steam) PC game?
Since the PS4 and the Xbox can have multiple IDs essentially giving them multiple commanders when will the PC version of the game give us parity?

* Tell me more about David's job day to day? #heroWorship
* How much and how does David get involved with development. I guess he has Dev skills that would blow modern devs out of the water?
* When are holo me saves coming? I want to use holo me creator more but don't want to risk losing my current one.
* What governs manoeuvrability in supercruise.

* What hints can you give about in-game tech upgrades for the Return?'

When is exploit an exploit and when is exploit not an exploit? please clear this up as it's confuddlingly messy at the moment..fanX

Why can't we drop temporary beacons onto a planetary surface for events or navigation?
For example - You buy a flag gun (name invented) and it has say 30 flags that you can drop by firing the gun as you fly over the planet, they drop like mines but with out the boom at the end.
The flags stay active in that instance until the player leaves that instance or 3 hours have passed.
Note the flags will be refilled at the station like munitions.

Is there any thoughts on establishing a way we can quarry a station if commodities are available before making long voyages for not. I mean in today's world, no trucker is going to travel a distance without knowing they have a load waiting for them.

I realize that there are external private utilities for this but the one I used last night was way out of date.

If questions have to be addressed to someone in particular, then I think mine are most likely within Steve Kirby's remit, although Sandro Sammarco might also be able to address these issues as they are related to both design and storytelling. The last one is for everyone!
  • What are the prospects for additional interactive storytelling before 2.4?
  • If there is one thing you could do with current mechanics that might have improved the event on 29th April, what would it be?
  • What additional tools would help you to curate or 'GM' future story events live?
  • Have you had a chance to play ED: RPG and do you plan to?

1. is there any kind of "single commander cap" for influencing the BGS (beside a practical one), or not?

2. are tiegfries silk and saxon wine, which are listed in the game during the ongoing community goal in laves commodities market, principally obtainanble in game (is their production just blocked as it is the case by some other rares due to BGS reasons, or source not even found yet), or are they bugged and can't be bought ingame under any circumstances (that's my suspicion, as for exampel the system of saxonia don't even has population or a station) ?

Of the ships that featured in previous versions of Elite which ones are NOT and will never be included for reasons such as ownership, inapplicability, lore, duplication etc.

[ This isn't a question about scheduling of ships so "No ETAs" doesn't apply here, its getting a list of ships that will not now or ever become part of ED ]

Failing that - which ones are at the "very bottom of the pile" for inclusion [NB: an answer of "Krait" here might cause a heart attack for one forum member in particular ;-) ]

Why does FD refuse to engage with macOS users?

Shouldn't take long, the question will be ignored :)

What more than FDev tell MacOS users? Apple refuse to support a newer version of OpenGL, and in turn Shader levels. You should really take this up with Apple, not FDev.

It's difficult to take FD's lack of engagement up with Apple.

FDev could tell macOS users why the improvements made to Metal are still insufficient. Shouldn't take too long.

That's a fair point, hopefully Metal does provide something that they can work to that won't take a lot of effort (because if you're honest they've probably maxed out on the potential profit from OSX users already)

Have Frontier considered selling ship unlocks (similar to the Cobra mk4) as a way of funding extra development and getting more ships into the game? This could replace the seasons model.

Questions:-

1) Any plans to offer NPC wingmen for hire or as part of a mission? For example, to escort you while trading, or to use while within a mission, giving simple commands to them (attack this, defend that).

2) Any plans for more involved combat scenarios? - For example, missions where you have to defend a damaged ship until it's repaired. Or escort a convoy (in normal flight) from nav beacon A to B? [See 1 as well]

3) An plans to adjust The Engineers to allow more flexibility and less grind as regards the collection of materials? For example, allow Engineers to offer missions to obtain materials they use?

4) Any plans to adjust the power of Engineered weapons? For example, to make the high grades a little less "better in all ways", and therefore make the lower grades actually have a place/purpose?
