Just had a horrible thought.
If we all have to use our mouths instead of fingers to communicate, we could end up spending the whole evening arguing of the pronunciation of Elite terms
We could still use our fingers to communicate, but fear it might quickly degenerate into a fight...

We could always install something like Bluetooth chat, or just use some irc channel on efnet, then we can all talk freely and safely that way. Or we could be 'down with the kids' and tweet converations with the #lavecon hash tag?
How is Lavecon being paid for? I seem to remember there was some discussion in the beginning, but not heard anything for a while...

Seriously thought, I heard that Frontier were paying for it all, and that's why they had to get another investor involved.
The cost for holding the event is £200 room hire charge. Which is currently on my Barclay Card
John has spent a sum on delegate gifts and I'm about to spent a sum on room decoration and image printing etc.
We have said it would be a free event but if people on the night would like to throw us a donation towards the hire cost etc then that would be appreciated. There are 45 or so delegates so it should work out the cost of a beer or something.
We are not looking at making a profit or anything from this, should that be the case we would disclose it on the night and forward it directly into the Frontier Development's Paypal account in the name of a LaveCon "Jonty"

I'm sure most of us would be happy to throw a note or two into the pot. It's not really fair that you guys should have to do all the hard work organising the event and be out of pocket for it as well.

When they found out I was going to be drinking on the night they realised the bar bill would suck up the cash earmarked for the Mac version.
