laying paths is annoying

Hi im liking everything so far except for the laying of the paths. When i click my mouse and lay a path section ,it will jump backwards and i have to move forward towards my path again to lay another path section, this kinda gets annoying after a while. Not sure if theres something I have to do or what to stop it ,if not i hope its something that can be fixed. Not sure if i should have put it in the bug reports or what

Consider like, 80% of the game to be fixed. This alpha is here for the reason that we can test things out and report it to the developers so i'd suggest you take this to the alpha forum.

Maybe just your camera jumped backwards ? In that case you need to use other camera settings. You will find this option just below the path distance.

I find path building pretty straight forward (no pun). Simple control and powerful. Seriously, I love the path system. Sometimes it's a bit finicky when you're connecting very tight areas, but it's so easy to right click, and drop a fresh piece if something doesn't work out.
For an alpha, it's quite workable.

Hear hear. Though it's also possible to get pretty good results by doing what the devs seem to like doing - create a wide circular path and fill the gap in the middle with a centrepiece like a fountain. When I wanted to create a building surrounding something like this, though, I wound up having to break the path down into narrower ones, otherwise I couldn't connect the surrounding shops to the path. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/55403585/PC_StartonEntrance.png I'm okay with the result, but it would still be nice to be able to place areas of paths on a fixed grid, RCT3-style, to allow for that bit more control over the layout in tight areas. It would also allow for more squared-off queue lines if you wanted them. The flowing, curvy paths look nice, but it's not always the look you want, even when you tighten them up into zig-zags.

yeah I agree, however I'd love to be able to "upgrade" the path to a different material lol.
