LEGO SRV Build

Ok, CMDR's...I've always wanted to a have a LEGO Elite thing. Last weekend, I lucked my way into about 80lbs of bulk blocks for free and thought, "Now's as good a time as any!" So I began. It only took me about three days to complete. I think it's pretty close to scale from the LEGO CMDR in the cockpit...and yes, the port rear drive while is not the same color base as the rest of the build but I got fed up looking after an hour and went with what I had. Full disclosure, I'm not a LEGO guy and I have no idea what any of this came from so I won't be of much help answering questions. I just wanted to show off a thing I did. 🤓

Without further adieu...

Love it! We need more Elite Dangerous Lego! Is the cockpit a Lego bauble?
Not sure 80 pounds of LEGO's would cover that, but I do plan on trying to put some ships together.
Did you mean 80lb or £80?
80lbs of Lego would create a life sized 1:1 Coriolis. You've used 200g for the SRV, that leaves plenty :D

For anyone that's interested, charity shops are an amazing source of stupidly cheap Lego. £5 for £100+ Lego sets. Got some just before Christmas, huge box for £5, like new. The 4 pneumatic pistons that I found at the bottom of the box can be sold for £10 each!

I have no idea what the cockpit is. There were two of them in the boxes I got. They fit together with those black extruded four sides sticks.

And yes, 80lbs, not £80. It's a guesstimate. Two 25 gallon tubs full.
