Lembava Warning

Thanks for the help guys. It was close, someone was definitely chasing me but I didn't let him get behind. Was fun!

See you later
Did that guy chasing you was flying a venenous Viper with the American flag? Because I only hunt for big game.

Being the incredible explorer that I am, I snuck into lembava this afternoon with a whole mornings worth of data! I found an earth type world just 550ly away and thought you know what? it isn't getting any better than this so I went back.
Somewhat nerve racking dodging an FDL in a diamondback but hey running away is a core strength of mine. As well as Emergency stops.

Hope I distracted them from someone with real amounts of data!

Things that I am looking for to determine if have a combat loadout.
SCB, shield boosters, KWS, Chaff, Hull reinforcement, and interdictor. You are in my opinion a valid target, however, if you flying the following ships I will not look your way.
T6, T7, T9, Sidewinder, Hauler, Cobra explorer/trading, and Asp explorer or trading loadout.

How do you distinquish between ships with combat loadout and protection loadout? I am a explorer miner and need the guns I carry for protection.

If you are explorer miner you don't really need KWS, hull reinforcement, FSD interdictor and SCB do you? And even you you are cutting your profit. Additionally, any serious explorer would never leave without AFM and fuel scoop. And that my friend that's how I know who are the fighter from civilian.

Similar here. My ASP is fitted for multirole (exploring and PVE bounty hunting). I've got weapons, shield boosters and a KWS, but no shield cells, no interdiction module and even no chaff launcher. You'll need to have a pretty fast perception to see the difference to a PVP ship. It's a little more complex than you might expect...
if that is the case you are not an explorer no more, you are a bounty hunter in my opinion believe or not.

You Sir, are making the locals nervous :D

Just a heads-up, Explorers don't necessarily carry the AFM. Some discussion as to wherether or not it's worth it.

As for the rest of your criteria, I shall leave that as a matter for you, your god and your target.

PS, I've done my PvP in other games, had little intention of doing it in E : D. Having seen your vids I'm tempted now, nice job.

Thank you I always welcome a friendly fight. Fly safe Cmdr and watch your six

You Sir (or anyone else) are not the one telling me how to play the game. Furthermore, your pretty narrow idea of specializing is a typical PVP mindset. It's one of the benefits of PVE that you got a LOT more freedom of choices simply because there's no need to maximize efficiency. If you can't change these attitudes I'm afraid you'll be burned out and stop playing when I still enjoy the game. I'm also not sure what's worse: The illness (the gankers) or the cure ( wannabe 'heros' like you). Both would have the potential of turning places like Lembava into some kind of "NEW JITA" which is of course totally nonsense and actually never will happen as it just would increase the number of instances and thus diluting the action.
Who said I am telling you how to play your game? Whatever you do in your game is your problem and don't worry about me I will never pull you out supercruise anyways unless you flying bigger ship than my own. Also, in case you are wondering I've been playing since Beta and the game still fun for me, so I won't burn out like you said.

Well I'll be heading into Lembava this evening sometime. I would think around 6-7pm UK time. In an ASP. Unarmed. No shields.

Edit: I should add for those pirates/griefers/coders - I'm carrying 000's of systems worth of data.

Ok then, point taken.
(I've judged by your forum join date which of course is very inaccurate when it comes to total play time).

Fly save Cmdr.

... btw, I'm a 'passive bounty hunter', not using an interdictor which is probably something worth to check rather than check for an existent KWS.
Without an interdictor I'm no threat to anyone, even not to NPCs (unless they interdict me what happens a lot more recently - to my great pleasure :D)
It seems like you are losing a lot money there, the big juice tragets are in supercruise now.

The real reason I will never attack an explorer or trader, because I don't want them to rage quit like Hitler when he lost his Asp.

Well, I got an KWS for getting extra cash when I am interdicted by a pirate while mining, I got a shield booster because of the same reason. I got a fuel scoop, yes, but no AFM, because I need the space for a refinery.
And IF I got my python, packed full of modules I like to have for exploring/mining/bounty defence, I will still be an explorer/miner.

But if you let me run away and not shoot me in the back, I will not be angry if you interdict me, because you like to pick fights.

I think the solution is just to "ride out to meet them". If a few wings of vultures and condas just roll out to guard the system and they actually have to fight for some kills they may reconsider.

When I'm filthy rich I'm going to play escort, probably for low pay.

For those interested in the CG I'm selling my data now...

70% (3m) is less than 80 reports
40% (4.5m) is less than 240 reports
15% (6m) is less than 499 reports (more than 479)
5% (15m) is less than 1357 reports (more than 1317)

So a 3m bonus for 80 reports seems like pretty good return to me.

Nice. Heading back from Eta Carina nebula now, already scanned 400 systems on the way there, so I should be able to get 15% it seems like. Surprised by how many undiscovered things I've found, going off the beaten path is good stuff :)

With some mad scanning just outside of civilized space perhaps I could make 5% :p
