Such a strange world we live in. Chris Roberts is charging for jpegs and burning down his dev studios and people keep throwing money at him. DBOBE gives us a year of free stuff and people threaten refunds...to buy the jpegs from the smouldering studio. Yeah, don't change internet, never change.

Since we don't know anything beyond what the 3.x updates will bring (pun fully intended), how about you just worry about your precious little LEP when you actually know that something is going to happen to it. Devs have stated there will be exclusive paid content that the LEP snobs will get. Obsidian Ant is hardly an official source of anything, unless I missed something and he now works for FD, speculation at best (no offense to the Ant, just calling it as I see it).
Worry about what you can control, and deal with anything else as it comes. As things currently are, none of us here have any control over how FD handles the 3.x updates and future paid content. We barely even know anything concrete about any of it.
TL;DR: Worry about it when it becomes a problem. As it currently isn't one right now.

A Valid question since frontier have changed how the game development will proceed. the only info frontier has given is in the below quote from Zac in another thread.

Looking into what zak says it sounds like that those who only purchased Horizons will have to purchase premium content, im guessing that squadron mobile bases will be among the first premium content and access to thargoid space being another possible area where players will have to purchase access, I wouldn't be surprised if they add purchases for cmdr save slots. im guessing that premium content wont go down the route of pay to win as that would kill the games userbase.
the worrying thing is that Zac only mentions the Beyond series updates which we know is basically the 2018 road map, what happens after that is anyone's guess.
I am not sure you know what missing in action means. The Panther Clipper and atmospheric planets are not MIA as they haven't been in action yet. Unless of course you have been playing a different version to the rest of us.

I've actually only seen 3-5 people who suffered from the LEP paranoia, but somehow all these threads end up with 30+ pages which makes it look like the issue would be way bigger than it is.
Everything discussed at the expo is part of beyond. If you know about it, it isnt the premium content. They have not disclosed what the premium content is. They will do so at a later moment.
