Lethal & Non-lethal Weaponry

Voice 1 - "ACU Building - Online. Rapid response unit deployed. Observe non-lethal protocols."
Voice 2 - "Roger control. Deploying non-lethal countermeasures. Control, we have eyes on the asset."

_____________

This is audio taken from the launch trailer. Does this mean we are going to have both options in the game. Perhaps sometimes lethal fire is needed for life threatening conditions? I am aware of this being possible in JP:OG and can only see it being a feature in this title too. If a T-Rex is running after a park guest then it might be more safe to take down the asset. However, in the launch trailer the Rex has already killed one human and a Parasaurolophus and they are still deciding on non-lethal. The choice could be the players.

I personally wouldn't like to use lethal force on my animals but if you have 10 Velociraptors escape near guests... that's a tricky situation.

These aren't animals you would see in a zoo. They are dinosaurs, cloned dinosaurs. From what I read in the books and saw in the movies cloning these animals is very expensive. In the JP novel John Hammond was very adamant about the Rex not being killed. He didn't want any of the animals killed. In Lost world they find out that Ingen only had a 10% yield out of X number of cloned animals. It's very hard and very expensive to make these cloned dinos. It's not cheap or easy. So I could see why they use non lethal methods.

On the other hand people tend to kill animals that attack, kill and or eat other people. So if a guest or park employee is killed then they probably would want the animal killed. They would certainly be sued or the family would be paid off. But then you have the ethical problem of putting a value on human life and to me it seems wrong. No amount of money would make me feel better about the loss. Especially with such a gruesome horrific way to die.

I'd like to see this implemented. In Jurassic World they had the option to use non-lethals or lethals from the get go bit they decided to use non-lethals on the Indominus and ACU got killed because of it. The Indominus ended up causing chaos when it went into the aviary. Each decision in a scenario like this will be crucial.

Considering what we know about the three main branches in the game, entertainment science and security I would really like to have a park that leans heavily towards science. As in the dinosaurs wouldn't just be stared at by people for fun but studied. But then again these are 100% real dinosaurs so I don't know how successful that would be. I guess it would be about as close as science would ever get to a real one. But if you had a park that was more like as Hammond said a biological preserve then you wouldn't have to worry about guests. Just staff, scientists and so on. So you would still need security.

But then you run into the financial aspect of the whole thing. No one is going to pay to keep Dinosaurs around and not make any money. There would have to be income from some where. People aren't going to do it for free. So you end up with a park anyway.
