Let's make the camera suite a little easier

Hi!

I love the new camera suite. This is something that I have wanted for quite some time now. It was a shame to have such a beautiful game and galaxy but only a very basic camera tool in order to document it. Now that 2.3 has given us a very robust camera suite, things are great! ...almost.

Being able to blur the background of an image and focus on your intended subject really makes for some beautiful photography. However, it is really difficult to get that subject in focus! I'm sure I'm not the only one who thinks this. Can we add some new functionality for the focus? Maybe a freely-moving reticle or cross-hairs that we can use to target the item we want to focus on?

Other than that, the camera suite rocks!

I wish I could make entering the camera suite default to free camera instead of controlling the ship, and go to the last position relative to the ship I had it set at. This would make often toggling in and out of it much more pleasant. [smile]

I've found the blur control hard to manage, too. I like your idea. I need more practice figuring out what range to set the focus at, but also, it tends to have two speeds for adjusting: much too slow, until the speed suddenly ramps up to far far too fast, so in practice, adjusting it tends to be very slow for me and I haven't ended up using blur much because of this.
