Let's Play: Build Update 1.13. & Spring DLC

I know we have a couple of these around, but I can't find them anywhere. Plus, this can have a dedicated thread to it...

    • Choose a scenery theme
    • Give an idea of what the music will be like (send a link, maybe, of what you think would fit)
    • Think of a campaign
  • For animal pack:
    • Choose up to 7 habitat animals and 1 exhibit or WE animal, but:
    • You are allowed to do a "butterfly treatment", as long as the species are similar enough to justify it (i.e., macaws, butterflies, etc.)
    • Give an idea of what the music will be like (send a link, maybe, of what you think would fit)
    • Think of a campaign

I know you said Holden s zoo not petting zoo but I'm still dont reccomend a Porcupine I that pack. That's one animal that dosent need to be pet.

I don't meant petting zoo, children's zoo they are different then petting zoo. and because I meant like children's zoo kind of pack if u check in the internet u will find that there are some childern's zoos have an porcupine there are some that having the new world porcupine and some that having the old world porcupine. and I also said "zoo pack" which it means animals that are so common. but of course I didn't meant that porcupine would be an walkthrough animal

Tropics Animal Pack:
  • Fossa
  • Geoffrey's Spider Monkey
  • Red River Hog
  • White-Nosed Coati
  • Goodfellow's Tree Kangaroo
  • Mantled Guereza
  • Southern Pudu
  • Green Anaconda
Update 1.13
Modular Exhibits--The smallest exhibit size being 1/4 of the default size, and the largest being theoretically infinite like habitats. Animals that can use the larger exhibits include the Yellow Anaconda, Green Iguana, Lesser Antillean Iguana, and the new Green Anaconda.

Foliage Brush--Allows you to select the plants you want to use and place them over wide areas at once. For reference, see the plant brush in Prehistoric Kingdom.

Updated Terrain Paint Brush--You can now use all terrain paints, unrestricted by the biome you are building in.

New Shops: Tikichiki, a food shop from Planet Coaster, and a merchandise shop that sells plush animals.

Farmlands pack - though not my preferred choice (it's not giving me any of my most wanted animals) this will focus on two things- Farmlands and the scenery that goes along with that, and petting zoos (which will be the big 1.13 update feature)
Animals included:
Nubian Goat
East Friesian Sheep
Shetland Pony
Guinea Pig
Walkthrough Exhibit animal: Lorikeets

Foliage: Fruit trees (not for habitats but scenery
Scenery - Easter type of scenery, not sure what exactly but also farming tools, vehicle props, barnyard building set and props, American prairie (not western)/rustic building style set and props

Update 1.13: - Introducing petting zoo features for certain habitat animals, as well as feeding stations for certain animals.

Included in with this update:
A special "petting zoo" gate that would be placed for habitats. You would have to place this gate specifically for guests walking through to be able to pet the animals.
A feeding station trough that would be for all the "pettable" habitat animals as well as a special bird nectar feeding station for the appropriate walk through exhibit birds.
A hand washing/sanitizing station.

All animals within the Farmlands pack would be pettable or in the case of the Lorikeets, able to be fed with nectar.

Animals updated for being able to be included in Petting zoo habitats:
Llama
Capybara

New animal behaviors - expanding the behaviors between adult animals and their young. Actions to increase the parent-offspring bond, including additional play animations, grooming animations, juveniles lying next to their parents (where applicable), and for some carnivores, the parents teaching the young to hunt with the enrichment toys.
Animals to be updated with these features:
Timber Wolf
Arctic Wolf
Dingo
African Wild Dog
West African Lion
Grizzly Bear
Capybara
North American Beaver
Plains Zebra
Przewalski's Horse
Western Chimpanzee
Western Lowland Gorilla
(as well as all of the habitat species in the Farmland pack)

As the game goes on a few more species will get this expanding parent-young treatment.

Not bad... but two goats in one pack? Kinda meh...

Also, would live it if they used the opportunity to add a genuine Gondola Ride, since it's a fairly common way to move up and down mountains.

This is my favorite one in here by far. You've really fleshed out your ideas. Though I think a Guinea pig would be too small for habitats. A rabbit would be good if your going for that Easter vibe but personally I think a Quokka would be cool due to it having no fear of humans.

Bossa nova would be absolutely perfect for the game and I still think if I should replace macaque with Coati. WDYT?

I'm extremely biased as my #1 add is the lion-tailed macaque and I had a big happy reaction when I saw its name on your list. But I think I can swing a few objective arguments in favor of keeping it in your pack :p the biggest being that it's the only representative of Asia in the pack. By Asia, I mean the Indomalayan (India through tropical Asia to Indonesia) and Palearctic (Middle East through temperate Asia to Japan) regions, so excluding the tree kangaroo range in New Guinea.

While it's true that Asia has better overall rep than Latin America, I do think one Asian species will be good to have. As there aren't many iconic Middle Eastern or Central Asian arboreal animals, I think India is a good region to use. I was thinking of Asian alternatives and maybe the yellow-throated marten could work but it's not as iconically arboreal as the lion-tailed macaque and I think this pack is crying out for a double dose of monkeys more so than a double dose of carnivorans.

Lion-tailed macaques are iconically arboreal and have great treetop antics:

I also love this pack having one NW and one OW monkey. Personally, I'd swap the tamandua for the coati, but that's just me! No objective arguments lol.

It’s also one of my 5 favorite species I want to see in the game so I will let it be and change Spider monkey for coati.

Okay, here’s my ideas:

Planet Zoo: Rainforests Animal Pack🦥
April 2023
Hayo Zookeepers,
Get ready to adventure and explore the deepest jungles with the Planet Zoo: Rainforests Animal Pack which will launch alongside Update 1.13.
What’s that rustling in the vegetation? It’s a whole bunch of animals who call the world’s rainforests their home!
Give a wave to the slow, steady Linnaeus’ Two Toed Sloth as it holds to its tree branch; the energetic and bright Red River Hog; the odd and endangered Goodfellow’s Tree Kangaroo; the sociable South American Coati; the colourful crested Victoria Crowned Pigeon; the long-leaping Mantled Guereza; and the Black and Gold Howler with its booming calls.
And the rainforest wouldn’t be as colourful a place without birds! Meet the Scarlet Macaw, Blue and Yellow Macaw, Military Macaw, Hyacinth Macaw and Spix’s Macaw, five wonderful birds who are sure to brighten up your Walkthrough Exhibits!
We hope you enjoyed this announcement, and we look forward to seeing you over on our social channels! Let us know what your favourite bit was below. Hang tight, Zookeepers!🦥

Planet Zoo: Update 1.13
  • Playgrounds. Young guests can now ‘go wild’ in play zones (implemented in a similar way to the interactive education stations). Includes interactive pieces such as slides, swing sets, climbing frames, monkey bars and more.
  • Animal parenting behaviours. Mother animals and their babies will spend much more time together, instead of being separate most of the time. Young animals will want to be by mum all the time. This is true particularly for your new sloths, which will cling to their mother until they mature.
  • New exhibit options. With four different exhibit sizes, you can now appropriately house any exhibit species from the tiniest insects to the largest snakes and iguanas. Boxes now are 1x1, 2x2, 4x4 and 8x8.
  • Woodchip floor pieces, implemented the same as the in-game mulch pieces. These can be used to decorate flowerbeds, habitats and even your new playgrounds!

Thank you! I actually almost went with a rabbit instead of the Guinea Pig, so changing that would be totally fine with me. It's my local zoo bias, we have Guinea Pigs so I went with it.
