Lets test this persistent universe and see if FD are true to their word.

Sold my Type 9 and bought the Anaconda at Baladin Gateway, so yes it should (at least i hope it will) support CSG.

edit: Type 6 < 7 < 9 < Anaconda.
My Python is a seperate ship also docked at Baladin. I made it to the Type 9 with Palladium trading in Brani to Cupis. Joined you guys after i bought the Type 9 and was already halfway to the Python.
After the devs stated that trading (to the right station) makes impact on the influence, i started to trade Computer Components to Belarusk and Progenitor Cells back to Baladin.
If you want your Python in the Lugh system, buy a sidewinder, get a fuel scoop and a jump drive with 14 range, hop back over to Baladin, sell the Sidewinder, and bring the Python over here.

Did this with my Eagle. Will do the same with any other ships i get, as i am making Lugh my home base.

ooooooooooooh...that was me DX

REALLY sorry about that, I didn't know you were part of our group (im relatively new and only have a few names on my list). I had 5 minutes left till I had to go back to work and wanted to practice my interdictions.

I'll add you so it doesn't happen again.

again, very sorry. let me know how much I owe you for repairs for damage caused by yanking you out of SC.
Do we have a list of Commanders to whom we render aid?

Also: On my way back from LHS 3447, they had no vipers with 10% off for sale.

For anyone new in the system, one of the best trading runs is to take Computer Components to Belarsku (Kurland station) and bring back Progenitor Cells. About 1700 credits per tonne profit for the round trip. As orfeboy said, avoid the weapons category as it's contributing to the Lockdown state.

Hi been away since Xmas and unmothballed my crate from Knights dock a couple of nights ago and been doing courier/deliver/supply runs for the CSG since then. All good with +1% and blue arrows all round until my last two missions...

Pick up 2T gold and pick up 3T copper which i did at the same time.

The strange thing is that I had a Red arrow/increase lockdown from both missions (everything else being blue arrow). Both missions were for CSG from Balandin gateway. Sorry no pictures.

I have no idea what this means!!!! :S

Yeah - did the gold one this evening too. Same result.

do we know any missions that are definitely guaranteed to reduce lockdown? 100% of the time? or is it a crap shoot?

does doing this affect system %s? or just make us money?

Didn't think that was the name, but if so, that's OK! I was just in a hurry but ought to have stopped long enough to type an explanation...

haha, you were so fast! I tried typing at one point, but I couldn't finish before you got out. that first interdiction was awesome, lasted forever...but yeah, again, im sorry about almost making you miss the mission turn in.

Ah, that was you then! Yes, the first interdiction did last for ages... if you lose you arrive spinning all over the place which compromises your escape, so in the end I decided it wasn't worth the risk and submitted. Shows that with two players it's well balanced though!

Interestingly on the system map Sesuang now shows as

Controlling Faction: Sesuang Co
Government: Corporate
Allegiance: Independent

...which is what you'd expect from the controlling station changing hands. It's just on the Galaxy map that there's no change. I wonder if there's just a problem with the info propagating to the galaxy layer of the game.

The galaxy map is updated separately to the details in the system map. Flipping a Federation system doesn't mean that the Federation stop their claim on the system!

Michael

So at what point micheal does the galaxy map update and reflect the indepdant government is there a timeframe ? or once fed influence is at 0% ? and what about colony expansion if new outposts popu p in empty systems once that system is started, how will the galaxy map update then

That's an interesting take, but certainly should be displayed in a better way. In theory Universal Cartographics is independent from Federal (or any other) pressure. Or for extra confusion it could be like Google's treatment of Crimea and change the listing based on what system you're in!

Players who, say, want to cash in a bounty will go to a federal system will be surprised to find no federal starports when they get there.

Is there a timeframe for the Galaxy Map updating?
Otherwise the "Allegiance" filter's use will deteriorate with every week.

It's a separate set of resources, so we'll probably look at a weekly update for that sort of top level change.

Ok thanks good to know, a week seems reasonable for a galactic map update - i wouldnt expect to many changes of system factional control at the current time anyway. Maybe once community missions come in that might alter the balance fo things.

Civil war is triggered through influence movement differentials. So improving one against another minor faction should trigger a civil war - assuming that not other state is interfering. If the faction has been in a civil war then there is a cooldown period before it can enter a civil war again.

Lockdowns have nothing to do with civil wars, they are their own state.

Michael

So i assume that means CSG was still in a civil war cooldown period before boom state was triggered for about 2 weeks ago and because of that we couldnt trigger civil war with LFE. And this also means a civil war cooldown lasts more then 3 weeks because we triggered civil war ( i think with LDF here in Lugh ) before christmas. So taking ownership of all stations for CSG and flipping the whole system could be a long time goal of minimun 4 months (with all the civil war cooldowns) as there are still 4 stations owned by LFE and in the worst case if the controlling station might be Cavendish Ring. Anyway we have to sit out both Boom states as only one state is possible at one time before we can trigger civil war again.
I also assume our current pending state civil war with LDF ist still the cooldown period.

Thx for the infos !

Is a week going to be reactive enough? It sounds as if the mechanics for this are only just starting to be thought through and there is no way to change system allegiance by players right now?

For performance reasons the top level galaxy map uses different resources. These are meant to be changed in a considered fashion, where in the in system factions change daily.

Thanks Michael. Just to confirm, the allegiance of a system e.g. fed, imp, etc. doesn't change on the galaxy map right now?
