Lets test this persistent universe and see if FD are true to their word.

Here's a high level piece that I prepared earlier:

Boom – 1504 – Boom states start when there are increases in wealth and standard of living. While active it increases the wealth of the system and benefits of trade missions completed for the minor faction.

Civil War – 1,010 – Triggered by changes in influence between competing minor factions, or when a single minor faction reaches a high enough influence level. Decreases standard of living and security while active. Creates conflict zones and only combat missions or actions provide any benefit to the minor faction.

Outbreak – 11 – Triggered by low level standard of living and development level. Decreases standard of living while active. Medicine trade missions are more effective, combat missions and actions provide no benefit to the minor faction.

Lockdowns – 61 – Triggered by low security and development level for system. Increases security level while active and loses wealth for the same period. Bounty hunting for the minor faction has greater impact.

Expansion – 173 – Triggered when influence is high enough. Decreases wealth while active and increases development level at the same time. Minor faction is added to the minor faction list of a nearby system.

Civil Unrest – 127 – Triggered on decreases of security and standard of living. While active it continues to lower security and standard of living for the system. All combat missions and actions for the minor faction are more effective.

War – 2 – Triggered by and invading minor faction reaching a high enough influence level. Decreases standard of living, wealth and security for the system while active. Influence changes only apply to the involved parties and are only applied from combat missions or actions.

In case anyone is interested the number is the number of systems with those states in as of Friday.

Michael

This is amazing. Glad they got this out there. Now we officially know what each state is. Orfeboy was right about war and civil war being two different states.

So if get bored of trading i can help my minor faction also with cashing in exploration data.
Delivered exploration data worth over 2 Millions to CSG today.

How many systems did you explore? I went out a few weeks back and explored about 300 systems and got almost 2 million.
I'll wait until 1.1 before i explore again though, faster data selling is been implemented.

Werent that much (80-90). Just did a short trip to Sadalsuud (a star in my horoscope) yesterday to test out how exploration works and focused mainly on class F, G and K stars as they have the biggest chance to contain earth-like worlds and terraform candidates (you get about 22-30.000 for one of them). From one system with two terraform canidates and one water world i got about 120.000.

Will make a trip now to the type-O star "10 lacertae". They are the rarest in the galaxie (0.00003%).

Thats a good guide if you dont know it.

As long as the minor faction owns the station you're selling the data to.

Michael

Yes that was the case thank you for the answer.

News from another dimension:

I've found a wormhole to another dimension. The locals call their galaxy 1.1 Beta. In Lugh things are bad, there was no Orfeboy prepared to lay down the challenge to the Federations domination. Over there CSG have a mere 14% influence while LFE remain unchallenged with 55% influence.

*catches up on both threads*

How would that apply to bounties? I haven't played around much with bounty hunting, but I've had to go an Imperial station to cash in Imperial Bounties, and I think I haven't been able to cash in any Federation bounties except at a Federation station, but I can't be sure because I've always cashed them in outside the Lugh system.

I don't think I've ever seen bounties issued by any of Lugh's independent factions, which makes bounty hunting to reduce CSG's lockdown futile at best, and helping the Federation at worst.

Not too sure where we go from here to get the war we want?!

This whole quote should be stickied...i bet less then 1% of the player base even knows these things exist.

I steer clear of guides as I like to learn what I can from exploring, trading and such own my own but have been curious if the people that write the guides get the information from playing or get it from reading the game files which just wouldn't be right IMO?

I don't know if this is useful information or not, but on my travels I found a mission asking me to kill a number of system authority vessels from a neighbouring system. It occured to me that there may be missions of this type in the systems around Lugh, and they may or may not have some impact. I have not seen these type of missions before & it got me thinking.
Has anyone else seen these anywhere? 'Roast the hog' or some such title.

I know this missions but i think i have never seen them in Lugh for CSG. Maybe they only are given by the controlling minor faction in a system.

My suggestion is to check systems nearby Lugh to see if there are any missions asking you to kill Lugh security vessels :)

Are there any CMDRs left that fight for freedom in Lugh?

I must admit, in retrospective it may have been to ambitious to try and topple such a large system with this number of factions but still, we're at nearly 90% influence.

We have to keep going!

For Lugh! For Crimson State Group! For Freedom!

Yes there are still quite a few of us fighting on in Lugh

Has been, and continues to be a busy week. As MacArthur stated, 'I will return!'. RL has intervened, just work in far flung areas of NC.

Alright, guys, i admit i'm spinning my wheels here.

I'm an explorer, but i am reluctant to leave in case i miss the war starting off.

I also do a good deal of smuggling, prototype tech/artwork/artifacts and such.

That said, with no CSG black markets to sell to, i'm limited to doing 'salvaging' (smuggling) missions for CSG.

I've made it a point to never take bounty hunting missions (as i keep getting wanted) and i'm a lousy trader.

What should i be doing to take us into war?

Cobra with two big ass cargo holds and a descent weapons loadout. Nearly everything is C or B grade equipment, and i got a 16.5 ly jump range. Also an intermediate discovery scanner and a detailed surface scanner (primary goal is to nab an advanced discovery scanner)

Weapons: F2 Pulse Lasers (gimbaled) and B1 Missile racks (fixed). Point defense and (i'm considering getting rid of this thing, again) kill warrant scanner.

I like to do a bit of exploration my self & have just set off on a 2kly trip, I plan to be back in Lugh in 2-3 days.

I think that right now could be a good time for you to head out on an expedition while our think tank comes up with the next plan.
