Michael's weekly dev update mentions that 1.3 update is called "Power Play", and isn't PvP. One comment that fits in with my thinking:

Hopefully our project will have moved on from our current stalemate by then, but if it is to do with the background simulation, what could it mean? Interesting indeed!

I posted a theory on that this morning and if you are right then I was spot on!

This is great news! Because if we have had our war in Lugh by the time 1.3 comes out and managed to liberate the system then I have a much grander aspiration than anything we have done here. If by then any of you still have it in you for more, you won't be disappointed. I will say nothing right now because all depends on Lugh!

This saga is not over yet guys... This is only the beginning :)

If we would bash them like last time we did LFE could loose 2.0% influence again.

And since we cannot trigger civil war in anyway with anyone at the moment till FD is fixing the issue we could try out something weird which maybe would help CSG if it works. If we manage to push down LFE to 0.1% we could force them into a civil war with Silver Natural LTD also holding 0.1% (same treshold then). In case if this civil war would ever happend we could support Silver Natural LTD then and let them get one station out of LFE hands. That would make CSG stronger in an indirect way. The only problem is that LFE got pending states civil unrest in queue and another blockade would push this state further. It also could be that Silver Natural LTD might be bugged as faction because they are sitting on 0.1% as only faction in the system since weeks.

Just an idea (would be fun to try out) and i dont know if you agree to such an experiment orfeboy in case of your background story and Silver Natural LTD also beeing a Fed faction.

That is interesting and very clever. The only issue I see with it though is that we will then have to fight two wars to liberate the system from the Federation. If we wipe out LFE we could find ourselves in another war with SN after that...

Like you say though, LFE is Civil Unrest Critical and will likely fall into that state after lockdown. Lockdown will not go away while we keep raising tension.

What we really have to do I think is keep them there. While we are doing that it gives our Boom state critical a chance to go away. Otherwise we will be left in a situation where LFE will be rising and we will not be able to trade or fight them for fear of triggering boom or a civil war between LFE and SN.

Both of these things will hold off war for us. What we need to do is get rid of our boom!

We will see anyway what happens if LFE reaches 0.1% but i also guess they will go into a civil unrest state before they trigger civil war with Silver Natural LTD. Civil unrest might stop LFE from gaining influence by the way.

I will get my recording sotware to work now if we make some mayhem tonight again.

I hate to break it to you but at almost any other time this donation would be worthy of much praising and late night partying but...

...at the moment we are trying to avoid a Boom state and such a generous donation may just have pushed it to the fore and exacerbated the situation.

Nonetheless the Sons of Conn embrace you for your generosity to the cause.

To that end, may I humbly suggest that a "CURRENT ORDERS: " line be added to the top (of the top) of the thread? I think some folks are trying to catch up by reading the OP, but right now it's advising to trade to CSG systems and to avoid certain missions.

At some point we were literally racing with each other every time a ship dared to spawn to have a chance to fire on it before it the blew up. Imagine how the pilots of those Eagles or Vipers must have felt when then saw two Clippers, an Asp and a handful of Cobras, all armed to the teeth, coming their way at full tilt. Even the Anacondas hardly managed to survive a full minute to our combined firepower. I think "dominated" just doesn't cut it anymore :D

I quite enjoyed flying my (brand new) Eagle to do videoing Apologies to those of you I hit while I was looking through the roof, but it does produce good video without the HUD in the way!

Interesting that after a while there weren't any more decent security ships, just Vipers and such. As if there was actually a limited supply at the station and no other craft arrived from elsewhere.
