Lets test this persistent universe and see if FD are true to their word.

That's a rather odd way of ending it, no closure. So anti-climatic.
Why does the CSG's final tier have "End the War" while all Feds got was "Get Station, but loose it immediately" Even though the Fed finished their first?
The Feds CG's are still active aren't they? I think CSG are celebrating a little too soon...

Brothers in Arms, I must bid you farewell.

For days now I have hauled weapons and faught the Federation for that most Nobel of causes, the freedom of Lugh.

But tonight was maybe one battle too far... Having never occurred before, three times this evening my Asp, with shields in tact and barely using 15mW of my available 17mW power, simply failed on me in the heat of battle. A power drive malfunction I think she said... But I was too busy to notice for certain as I was trying to escape with my life. Coming so soon after my ships software was patched this afternoon I can't help but wonder if perhaps something had changed that I was not aware of.

The last time was the worst, as by that stage I had no credits left to pay off my loans... And so now you find me over 100 light years away, with a meagre 1000 credits to my name and reunited with my first ever ship (and ruing the fact that I stripped the Sidewider of her weapons and finery when I put her in storage all that time ago to help pay for my first Cobra).

I can see, Brothers, that you have almost complete the Spear of Lugh mission, and to that end I am most greatful as I, for my small part, will be due a few thousand credits that I can maybe put towards a small refinery and fuel scoop, and then head off towards the pristine mining rings in Umaitis to try to make my fortune... again!!!

Please don't be sad for me, for maybe my best warring days are behind me... However in years to come I will be able to tell my grand-children stories of inspirational leaders and of fearless men and women who battled for the freedom of Lugh and who stood up to the might of the Federation... And won...

And I know what I will say to them will be true, for I was one of those pilots.

Lets not get all George W Bush "Mission Accomplished" - that's what the Feds did, and it didn't work out well for them.

At the very least we still need to restore Crimson States influance and end the civil war.

I hope you're right, The whole "End the War" thing feels like it was forced in at the last moments to keep the extremely vocal minority happy.

As a mercenary I'm moving on to pastures new, but I wish you good luck with reclaiming the power in Lugh. Perhaps I'll come back when the Feds bring out FNS Nevermore ;)

I don't believe that, though it was certainly scripted, but so either side could win. It seemed to me it was laid out in advance by Frontier, with a mind that the Federation players base is huge and can bring some serious numbers to a fight. CSG was always going to be outnumbers and outgunned.

It the first major conflict in Elite Dangerous history. The Crimson State guys are organised and have been at this for months. The Feds just jumped in on the community goals with not much direction or organisation. This really showed in how each side approached the CGs.

We'll have to wait until Thursday morning in the UK to see if anything else is planned.

But there's still a big Federal fleet sitting in Khaka, with 2 Capitol ships ready to deploy. And the Fed players have released there early mistakes and seem to be rallying behind the weapons CG.

The Halsey administration is looking very wobbly right now. If it collapses I suspect there won't be the political will for a fed counter attack but we'll see.

In any case that's a problem for tomorrow. For tonight it's time to break out the Guinness! I presume in addition to free kittens there is an open bar somewhere for hard working pilots yes?

Wow nice congrats all but like some others have said I feel this may not be over, khaka is not that far away and feels like the feds might be regrouping there plus have any of you read the news about onionhead?

As it happens, I found myself in the 5% of each of the three community goals we've completed here in Lugh. This is what I spent the money on: http://www.edshipyard.com/#/L=60p,A5e5Rs5Rs01Q0mI0_g0_g,2-88A07_A07_6u6k,08c07208c7Sk0724zM2jw2UI :p

5% in each? WOW.
Best I could do was top 15% in Spear of Lugh but I had only Cobra to start with - during Lugh uprising was able to buy T6 for weapons shipments and to buy Vulture for convoy and combat zones. So 2 new ships and still left with decent sum on my account.

I was in a similar position cept I was in a sidewinder and got into this late sadly, still managed to get into the 70% at least I think it was the 70% ~ payout was 7mil.

Didn't believe in the cause but as i documented before i hate the Feds so i took CSG's money anyway.

Don't bother thanking me for my contribution, i'm outta Lugh now. See ya. Hope your "freedom" is everything you want it to be.

But before i go.... I like statistics and I am insane so I write all my kills down. This is my war in Lugh in numbers.

CMDR CILLIAN RAYNOR'S WAR JOURNAL

Days in the war: 13 (started the day before Spear of Lugh started, there were conflict zones so i count all of it as part of the war effort)
Sorties: 35
Insurance claimed: 0 (but i came close to it twice... canopy busted, 9% hull left both times)
Kills/Combat bonds: 1260
Combat Bonds earnings: 22 466 334$ (no Spear the first day..)
Spear of Lugh earnings: 21 452 334$ + 22 500 000$ (5%) = 43 952 334$
Average Earning per Combat Bond: 17 830$
Average Daily Earnings: 1 728 179$
Average Daily kills: 97
Most Profitable day: 2 524 000$ on March 25th with 117 kills
Average earnings per sortie: 641 895$
Average kills per sortie: 36
Most profitable sortie: 1 674 000$ on March 25th with 72 kills
Kills with Viper: 1143
Kills with Vulture: 117
Kills shared with other players: 24
Combat Rank Advancement: To Master from Competent

Kills by Ship types:

Python: 341
ASP: 261
Viper: 214
Anaconda: 166
Federal Dropship: 117
Cobra: 117
Eagle: 60
F63 Condor:55
Vulture: 3

Kills by Pilot Skill:

Master: 241
Dangerous: 211
Expert: 209
Elite: 194
Deadly: 171
Competent: 145
Novice: 89

And just for fun....

Federal losses by ships:

Anaconda: 24 396 928 866$
Python: 19 429 559 039$
Federal Dropship: 4 424 261 985$
ASP: 1 738 560 933$
Cobra: 44 427 006$
Viper: 30 587 234$
Vulture: 14 776 845$
Eagle: 2 640 000$
F63 Condor (Unknown value but would estimate at 20 000$ per ship at best): 1 100 000$

Total Federal losses incurred at the hand of CMDR Raynor (with help of NPCs...): 50 082 841 908$

But this is clearly not accurate as i can only count the hull prices....imagine all those outfitted Conda for one....you can probably multiply that final value by....well a lot.
