Lets test this persistent universe and see if FD are true to their word.

Total Federal losses incurred at the hand of CMDR Raynor (with help of NPCs...): 50 082 841 908$.

I think the insurance price of the ships is actually their real replacement price, and the rest of it is just taxes. Seeing as the tax cut on the vulture dropped it from 22 mill ish to 4 mill, that would make a lot of sense. Still, great job blowing up the Feds. Personally I think the most important thing in the battle is that the Feds lost (although don't celebrate so quickly just yet! Get that influence back asap and finish off the civil war.) I hope the CSG remembers their friends, and as always, vivat Imperator in aeternum!

Are we sure this is over yet? I'm gonna stick around for a few more days just to make sure.

Also, anyone know somewhere nearby Lugh i can get a Viper?

Also, over a week ago my sound quit for Teamspeak3 and Elite. I've been playing without sound ever since. Anyone know how to fix this?

According to a post on the previous page, the war is not over yet:

In Khaka, Qureshi Entreprise there are Vipers for sale, many other ships too, but It's the Fed's gathering point at the moment, be careful going there.

did you take notes on everything you killed or can this be displayed ingame? im fired up to see my own stats? :p

Yes, as i said, i am insane. I write every single kill ever, the ship, the money it gives out and the skill. If they're bounty i even write the name... thankfully in warzones i dont have to bother with those. I keep a laptop handy when i play with an excel file open.

That's both extremely cool while freakishly weird, i approve of your dedication but shun your obsessive behavior

That's a news article from before Lugh reclaimed space superiority in the system. If there's a phase 2, it'll be another invasion. As it stands, Federal Navy withdrew it's forces and Lugh achieved a decisive victory for the battle, if not the war. I'm sure the CSG (me included) will be ready for a round 2 if that's in the cards. That doesn't change the fact that the Federation conceded the field after losing most of it's objectives.

Hopefully if there is a round 2, no cap ship shenanigans will be in play and you Federation guys can be a lot more coordinated. ;)

Yeah nice!

Sssoo... How the heck do you do this mid combat? In my Python, the shields are strong enough/power is abundant enough that I could probably let go of the HOTAS and make a quick strike on a pad per sortie, but, in the Vulture... It's god, but not *that* good! Unless you ar ejust mentally noting and then writing down at the end of each run...

The rewards are easy enough to work out if you have the ship types/kills noted, and it's I usually ignore anything smaller than a Dropship, sometimes an Asp, unless it is really just attacking non-stop (those F-63's don't do any damage, but by goodness they are annoying!!!)...

Also, I went to Lugh 5 this morning.

Sssoo.. Low intensity combat zone, huh? Dropping into the middle 3 Anacondas and 4 Pythons (plus the rest) didn't seems so low intensity to me... In fact, it's the first time I had to jump out to save myself with less than 250k in bonds (72k)...

Also, I'm starting to equstiont he effectiveness of my Fixed Beam + Fixed Canon Vulture loadout whilst my HOTAS is out of action. I find I really need FA off and the analog thumbstick on my CH PRo throttle to really get the best out of it. I may switch the Cannon to a gimbal pulse for targeting components. If only the Cannon muzzle velocity was a bit higher...

Anyway, hoping to get one more combat zone run in this evening before the CG is done...

Plying in Solo, for the record, I'm too much of a sitting duck without my HOTAS. Reaching for the keyboard is tough enough with NPC's already... I'm not playing at a desk, so the keyboard either sits on the floor, or on the bed behind me) - or on my lap if the cat doesn't decide to curl up there first.

FOR THE KITTENS OF LUGH!

Z...

EDIT : Drats! It's done! Oh well, so be it! It was fun while it lasted! I need to shift mor eof my focus back to Pand anyway... I'll pitch in a hand whenever I can.

This certainly isn't finished, the Feds are almost done with the trade mission. And if it kicks back to just a combat grind, you know the Federation will win that fight.

It makes sense though. It should be harder to overthrow the holdings of a vast empire than it is to fight for said empire.

if it weren't, everyone would do it :)

wow woke up looked and everyone did it! Nicely done too in quick time. Somehow managed to hang on to the top 5% while I slept so that was a bonus I wasn't expecting.

Wondering like everyone else what happens next. The Galnet entries don't give the impression that its over yet and there is a lot of bitter confused federation pilots around that still refuse to see the abject moral corruption that infuses the current hierarchy of the Federation.

As an aside the Federation was once based on noble ideals. For a while it maintained those ideals in both . It has slid so far away from those ideal that it now apes the worst behaviour of tinpot dictatorships under a media driven veil that depicts only how the Federation wants to seen not how it is. There is both a lesson here and a challenge for a free Lugh. To find strategies avoid that fate in the future otherwise the sacrifices of that past few months will have been for nothing.

The Feds are starting to get organized. This is about to get unpleasant.. especially with how some of them are deliberately out to knowingly destroy all the hard work that's been done.

so whats our mission now? wait for a new CG? continue in the CZs?

The Feds' new organization thread has them all clamoring to do the trade goal. It was stated earlier in this thread that it wouldn't be a bad idea to clean out as many stations as you can so that the Feds have to travel further than they'd like in order to get those weapons. Of course, if you finish the CZ goal then that might trigger a change in the storyline where the CSG rally their forces and kick the feds out of their skies.

I wonder if there will be an end to the community goals and a final winner or if FD will ride this all the way into Powerplay.

On the contrary, the larger the empire, the harder it is to hold onto territory, unless they all share the same culture and ideology.
