I recently re-subbed to Star Wars again just to check out the new content with a new character.

I've also got a heavily modded version of Skyrim on the go not to mention Guild Wars 2 and The Secret World.. I used to play Lord of the Rings Online a lot but the graphics just turn me off now.

Needless to say I don't have enough time to play them all!

If you'd wanted to keep your opinions to yourself, whether positive or negative, why did you start the post with a clear summary of your personal opinion?

Arma3...that's about it, really! There's so many different mods you have a whole library in one game...and a 60GB install :)

ME TOO!!! I built a new computer so I could play 2 games, Elite: Dangerous... and Star Citizen. I don't play SC very much right now.. waiting till I can get out in the verse with my space truck. But I LOVE Elite. To me it is more than a game, it's more like a life sim, lived out in space. Cant wait till the occulus is out

I used to play LOTR a lot before it went F2P - absolutely loved it as it seemed to get the feel of the books just right for me. Not played in years though. I bought a life-time pass for Secret World but just couldn't get into it. Every now and then I load it up, update it, and the go "nah, can't be bothered"! I also enjoyed GW2 for a while, but never really got into a decent group (my fault as my play times are erratic).

City of Heroes and SWG were the other MMOs I played a lot - dipped out of SWG when everyone else did, but stayed with CoH until they switched the servers off. I don't really have time for MMOs really, which is why the solo-online mode in Elite appealed.

For me the best of 2014 games. (beside elite ofc :) )

1. Kerbal Space Program (still in beta) (Space Flight/Mission simulator, Sandbox!)
2. Xcom: Enemy Unknown + Enemy Within(Ironman!) (Turn Based Tactical/"Stratgegy")
3. Wasteland 2 (Old School RPG - kickstarted also by the original developer)

These were the best gaming experience in this year for me and KSP maybe the best in my past 10 (I love science) :)

Spending alot of time in the pre alpha of shroud of the avatar at the moment and the alpha of the repopulation. Both good sandbox games :)

I've been playing very little ED until the 16th, just experimenting with a few game mechanics so I can start fresh if there is a complete wipe. Meanwhile I've been playing these other games:

Sims:

X-Plane
Rise of Flight
Kerbal Space Program

Other:

Endless Legend (strategy, very good)
Dragon Age: Inquisition (surprisingly not terrible)

Well, I had Wasteland 2 ready to go, but that is now on a long backburner, because I dont see myself playing anything other than Elite for a long time.

If I want some quick and easy console action, then its either Fifa15 or Shadows of Mordor on the PS4.

Long-time Civ acolyte here, currently spending time with 'Beyond Earth'. Actually I'm deliberately steering clear of Elite until release. I put in some heavy time during Alpha and early Beta, but don't want to get jaded too soon (I have plans to be playing this game for some time to come) so apart from carrying out cursory checks on the updates as they appear I'm not really spending time with it now anyway. It's not a game you can ever 'win' so no point in rushing to keep up with the latest bits of kit IMHO. YMMV of course.
