Powerplay Li Yong-Rui fortify / preparation list?

You know what? So much for LYR. I just joined their discord server, but instead of getting the help I was looking for, I was told I had to pledge before they would give me any information at all, and I wasn't even allowed to see their #powerplay channel. Instead of answering the one question I asked, I was badgered with questions about how many LYR reddit sites I've seen.

If that's how LYR people act, screw LYR.

Hahaha, I'm just in it for the packhounds right now.

The ship's right UI panel will show you which systems are close to reaching, or over the thresholds.
I just use that and choose something nearby.

The whole cloak and dagger thing seems somewhat counterproductive as this thread demonstrates!
That's been my experience with every PP faction so far.

Neither of those sites list system fortification or preparation progress, afaict.

Yeah that trello has not been updated since 2015, sorry about that.

The google doc, looks a little better:

It's got a list of fortification targets and a list of prep targets, no expansion at the moment because you just voted to consolidate.

The trello's and google docs can be hard to read until you are used to the formats.

I've only ever been with AD, but I imagine all the groups are somewhat similar, since they are up against the same rubbish.
You will have to prove that you've at least joined the Power, because there is so much 5th column style crap that goes on, and discord channels often become filled the opposing side trolling.

Any of the serious places of talk (which are still heavily infiltrated) will require some form of evidence to join (usually just a screenshot of the right panel).

Failing that, Bob, gave you sound advice. If you are in it for the mods, and not concerned with how voting/preparing the wrong system etc may hurt your Power, it is quite easy/adequate to just use the galmaps filters.

I didn't even know we had a Trello (or what that is even) nobody uses Reddit anymore, we use Discord and to get our priority information on what to do, all you have to do is provide a screenshot of your pledge status, of which you were informed, if that is either too complicated or too bothersome for you we really don't need your "help". Have a super day.

I think you just drove the point home.
Lots of people would like to help in a limited sense, but if how to do that is too opaque, one can't expect them to do much work about it.
Likewise, when you see efforts "wasted" on systems, you have no one else to blame but yourselves for making that information so difficult to come by.

lol.. and y'all wonder why LYR keep prepping the wrong systems?

You were given a link to this google document that shows the priority list, and you replied "I've seen that doc sheet already. Afaict, it doesn't list a single system, much less fortify or preparation progress." It lists five priority fortification systems, plus a prep system. It's true that it doesn't list progress. For that we ask that people pledge and prove their status, for similar reasons to those mentioned by Maka Gucci.

You then mentioned that you'd seen more then one reddit site for LYR. One of the other discord members was a bit surprised about that, as he was only aware of one, and expressed this surprise by asking "There are multiple sites? on reddit?"

You declined to answer his question, replying "Wow... so much for LYR. I came here to get help but instead I'm getting badgered with questions." You then left the server.

They are not going to give out cycle priorities in public.

Seems a reasonable and easy request to comply with.

Kumo do the same.

Not when you are only going to stay for a few weeks, total.
Proving a temporary loyalty seems really silly, when in a few days people will be joining another power anyhow.

It just makes it a PITA for people only interested in the modules to find any information.

If you think putting a screenshot of your right panel into discord is too much of a PITA for you to bother with, then just get your module and get lost. No one who is actually legitimately interested in Powerplay should think that is too much work. If you can't be bothered by such a simple request, you honestly aren't going to like the repetitive and nitpicky nature of how PP works, and wouldn't be a productive member of the community anyway.

On the other side of the coin, people who can't be bothered to show a screenshot of their right panel have demonstrated their low desire for being productive, and if they can't even muster the willpower to show a screenshot they 99% aren't going to be motivated enough to even be an be an effective element of 5C. So the idea that it should be made public just so that low-effort module shoppers can actually be productive and not accidentally contribute to 5C is a weak argument.

This guy wanted to see a big formatted spreadsheet of prep & fort numbers to make up his mind about what power he wanted to join. Disregarding the fact that the info would already be available to him in-game if he expended any amount of effort to look at it (arguably even more effort than just giving us a screenshot), it's a suspicious request to begin with. What bearing would fort and prep numbers possibly have on a normal decision about joining a power? It's silly. "Oh, LYR has 10k preps on Kalak? Sign me up, that's all I really wanted to know!!!"

No, first I would have search for a reddit or trello, and then I would get the attitude you're displaying above.
That is essentially a marketing problem on "your" end.
Why would anyone want to take PP seriously after that?
Who would want to be a part of such a community?
I am also speaking of people who by definition are only interested in the modules.
They are not spies, LOL.
Treating them as such doesn't serve anyone well.

And now you are simply going off on a tangent.

No one is suggesting everything be made public.
Strawman much?

You could accommodate new users in a much better fashion.
You could provide those simply looking for modules with information without all the attitude.
They don't care about your issues.

In this response, you've stated that a module shopper having to prove their loyalty is silly because it's too much of a PITA for them to go through the proper channels to gain access to info.

Providing a screenshot of your pledge status is such a low-effort task that the only way it were easier would be for the info to be public.

So, just because you forgot what your argument was doesn't make my reply a strawman.

If you like tangents I can continue on by saying we shouldn't forget that the info about fort/prep numbers is already public because it's in the game. It's just not formatted to be digested in 30 seconds by someone who wants to put forth as little effort as possible.

No, you missed the point or are deliberately misrepresenting it.
It's totally pointless because they will most certainly be with another power within a very short time.
That's why I put temporary loyalty in bold like that; it's the central part of that idea and basically an oxymoron.
Who cares if that someone is loyal, when you know for sure they will be leaving?

I haven't forgotten anything.
It's pointless.
The "loyalty" is nothing but an illusion at best for a large number of players.

Which is the strongest value of 3rd party sites, except where it concerns PP it seems.
That's the whole point I'm making.
Congrats. It's even less clear than the in-game info!

You're complaining that a Power organisation wanted evidence of your pledge before they let you behind their operational security?

I'm confused.

You were confrontational and rude from the moment you entered the discord, gave no time for anyone to help solve your "little problem" and couldn't even comply with a simple request. Personally I've found the people of LYR discord to be both friendly and very helpful in understanding PP.

Quite frankly LYR is better off without you, as would be the other powers until you master simple interpersonal skills.
