£20 give or take - so to date LEP holders and KS backers above a certain level are still out of pocket by some margin, and will continue to be so until and ONLY until FDev release a minimum of 3 more paid expansions (DLC's whatever). Even if you said the LEP holders get the content at release so it's "full price" not discounted, it would STILL require TWO paid expansions to break a "profit" i.e. LEP total price cheaper than each expansion at launch prices.

However, here's one uncomfortable but otherwise immutable fact about ED, FDev and thier expansion progress - it's SLOW, VERY VERY VERY SLOW. Two more paid expansions at current progress will take three to four YEARS.

Now I don't know about you but many LEP holders (and KS backers for that matter) didn't sign up thinking the game would take EIGHT years to get to where the content mentioned in the dev blogs, was going to be delivered (or not as the case may be), and thier LEP's would actually pay off.

So, SNowymonk, maybe instead of having a go at him you take the spirit of "be thankful that there were enough like minded individuals that meant the game cane into being." - understand that Steve50 was one of them and thank him (and me, and the rest of us) instead of making sideways accusations of whining.

A last comment for any FDev employee who might read it and whoever's in charge: Since the KS and LEP sale, there are people who backed FDev and ED who have since died, died waiting for you to deliver what you sold them.

A kickstarter is about investing in a product without any guarantees that any of the promises will be fullfilled or that it could fail entirely, there is no time frame not to mention game developement is an extremely labour intense and time consuming endeavour.

As sad as it is people die everyday , its hardly a frontier issue that a kickstarter backer passes without ever seeing any content and to be quite frank i find it very distasteful that you would even point this out in your post,

The entire post reeks of "i paid for it i want it now and i want more than i invested back from it". Very poor show bud.

Possibly, but not without some justification. You didnt invest, so why stir up malcontent? You have no say in the matter. It is of no concern to you as you didnt pay the money. Sit on that fence and throw pebbles all you like, your lack of investment make your words meaningless. Just sounds like sour grapes to me. I'm sure you can get a bobblehead cheap if you ask. I'd give you one of mine if it would help.

Ive had plenty of good game time out of ED and theres yet more to come. I'm happy with my LEP. I get a bobblehead and some paint, yay. I'm not a greedy man, nor one who expects the world to owe me. I paid the money to help keep the game going. I didnt expect to be invited over for tea, or for DB to offer me his first born. A few paint jobs and a bobblehead, I see as a thanks. I'm happy with that. A thank you is a good thing for me.

Anyways, onwards and upwards Rodney. Oh, maybe I shouldve said Trigger.

I'm expressing my opinion. Last I checked that's allowed. Are you off the view I should be banned from doing so?

I don't want to offend anyone. But the level of vitriol and malicious personal insult that's been directed at me just for expressing my view probably proves something. Don't blame me for the situation. If you're angry blame Fdev, it you aren't why the issue?

I'm annoyed because i'm probably still carrying some emotional investment in seeing this game fulfil it's potential. With each passing quarter it becomes more apparent that FDev are a shambles who are content to lead you guys on. I also think people defending them year after year are complicit in this game being a joke now.

However, my motivations are irrelevant. Whatever they are, I'm in my right to express my view on a public forum. You don't have to read it if you don't want to. Your contribution has only been to attempt to delegitimise my right to my opinion. You're welcome to disagree, but you have no right to close down any dissenting view.

I'm acutely aware of that mate. Every thread on this forum turns hostile and vindictive due to the same suspects attacking anyone with the audacity to hold Braben to task.
