Light distortion/ heat haze/ wavey effect when going into supercruise or hyperdrive is missing?

I was hopping that these latest small horizons updates would fix this stupid bug, but no. And it will never get fixed now until horizons gets merged with melting ice-cream planet simulator 2021.

Yup, I have heat shimmer in Odyssey. It's pretty neat, even if it is totally unrealistic as it is an atmospheric effect. Never saw it in Horizons, though. You say it was there once upon a time? I have owned the game for 5 years but only really started playing it last October. (I fired it up due to COVID boredom!!!) I'm pretty much exclusively Odyssey now...

I have the game on high but im still unable to see the heat distortions, what setting specifically is the one that turns on that effect?
