Lighting/Shadows bug

I've been playing this zoo for a while and all of a sudden the lighting started to be weird. Its as if there is a constant lens flare or something and the shadows are way too intense. I cant see much and it basically became unplayable. I have tried loading another save in the same zoo and the lighting is fine so its just in this save for some reason. I have tried messing with the graphics, i have closed and opened the game nothing works. Time of day doesnt matter either.

Alright, the first photo looks like complete chaos. The second looks normal. Did you change any settings between the two?

I had a similar issue regarding graphical texture bugs, in my case it was the complete opposite where the shadows flickered or disappeared entirely. The cause of this was an excessive use of memorial plaques in one area of the zoo - a cafe to be precise where I used memorial plaques as the sitting part of a chair. Removing all the plaques solved the problem.

In any case though, graphical issues related to single zoo files should be brought up with frontier support if you are lost entirely.

Well over 700 animals and im only achieving 26 fps on a good computer might point fingers to hardware strain possibly corrupting save files. Flickering shadows when changing time of day means the textures of the save are corrupt in some manner, heres a sample of what im seeing:

I don't believe there is, unless it was something you added to the zoo that made the lighting look like that.

well thats one way to make me never want to play the game again
