Lights - Um... Has anyone found a use for them?

I quite like the limited lighting. It's save my neck lots of times. They are the first thing I activate when docking or taking off and are invaluable i asteroid fields and ake useful communications with other players.

I use them as a safety precaution when I enter and leave docking stations, lets players know where I am ahead of time and which reduces the likelihood of collisions in the airlock.
They are also good to observe asteroids whilst mining on the dark side of them, as well as asteroid fragments reflecting from the headlights if the HUD happens to not target them.

I always use lights when hunting at the Resource Extraction Sites.

They're great at giving a split-second warning of imminent doom, allowing me to squeal like a little girl as I go careering face first into a massive space rock.
