BOEWNST nebula:

In Prai Hypoo I found a couple of stars that had been visited by other commanders. I didn't find any previously visited stars in Boewnst. And it will be a couple of months before I get back and hand in my data, so you can have a go at getting it first!

Will update the thread tommorow, ~2-3PM (utc+1)
Thanks so much @Allitnil for all the submissions!
Also, nice to see an old friend in the list of discoverers, makes me smile :)

Updated some, but not all of the recent submissions, will add the rest the following days.
(I'm a little sick today, sorry)

Fly safe commanders!

Found one that is not listed in the OP, it's 666 LY away from me, and I am heading there now. It looks brilliant on the map!

By accident I have found a new nebula.

I was trying to search for Sol in the galaxy map, to look up some info about saturn's moons for RP purposes, but for some reason instead of "sol" I typed in "Saturn", and pressed search.

Saturn Nebula is what showed up on my screen.

System: BD-11 5511, Wolf-Rayet star.

It is located 5,201 LY away from Sol and is not on your list. It's also not on the community mapping project list.
I haven't been there yet, but I encourage everyone to go and check it out. It's ~3 hours away, if you burn hard enough.

It's a nice looking neb as well.

Funny thing is, I was watching space docus last week and wrote down all the planetary nebulae mentioned. And then completely forgot about them. Here's my notes from nebs I think are missing

Blinking 3000 (BD+50 2869)
little ghost 5500 (CD-23 13397)
butterfly 2000 (V651 MONOCEROS)
retina 3000 (CD-43 9005)

Crap! I had that on my todo after your post :/

There's quite a few of those. The Lemon one looks really cool, but is waaaay to high to reach.

How far can one get in just free flight sc? I know people have closed the gap to see what happens when you actualy sc to a close system, but has anyone tested to see just how far one can go? Im guessing extra fuel tanks might actualy be of some use with that kinda trip.
Might be a way to reach Lemon and Saturn (awesum finds btw)

***edit***
Wiki says 4h 22mins to travel 1 light year at 2001c
But how much fuel does that use?
So that would be just over 2000 hours for a 500ly jog yes?
Hum, would we get a badge if we did it?

Do it, record it, you'll make the galnet news feed and win the hearts of everyone. Plus you'll produce some awesome scientific findings for us all :)

I'm afraid that you can't SC to another system, several people have tried & failed. Even if you reach where the other system should be you won't see anything as it is the hyperspace jump which ED uses to create the instance with the new system in it (think of hyperspace as the loading screen for the new system). Worse still, you won't even save any of the fuel required for the hyperspace jump as it uses the same amount whether you jump directly from the starting system, SC a long way towards the destination one or SC away from it.

Ok, thats the bit I was wondering, almost seems like an oversight that you dont have a recalculated fuel use or fsd distance to the system your flying to

I have two nebulae for the list.
First off, there's JUENAE WJ-R E4-898, first discovered by CMDR TREVOR GOODCHILD:

Then there's JUENAE OX-U E2-8852, first discovered by me (CMDR MARX):

The nebula viewed from the nearest system:

I've named it the Hengist Nebula, in honour of the late Emperor Hengist Duval, who was murdered a few days after I discovered the nebula.

There's a terraformable Water World in the system, orbiting a class G star:

There is two planetary nebuals somewhere near to SagitA* with my tags, and yet no one posted them here... Did not taken pics that time, cuz it was so long time ago... Im lookin for them since this thread came out. At gal map, starting at SagitA*, and "Tryin" figure out my route when I was heading back from it in order to find them.... Did it many times, many hrs lost... Once managed find one of mentioned nebula by pure luck, but before taken pic of its name, I was staring at system map then some Powerplay npc pulled me out of SC and never again managed to find it again so far. Because it was half year ago, when I was at core, I cant really tell how far these are from SagitA*... only thing Im sure, that they are within area, where route planner aint work too well. When find them eventualy, I will post thier location. If anyone would do it before me, that person would have my gratitude 4life.

Too bad there is not option ingame, to filter only systems where you been already. That would help me a lot. FD pls add that option at filters!! Not all cmdrs have thirdparty tools or notes thier all finds at all the time. Or atleast make "cartographic data" filter on map, to show only systems at gal map wich was sold at station by cmdr who might come back afta while to look at his finds. Anyone who sold massive data on certain station, probly not foget where he did it.
