List of ranks

Where can I find the list of military ranks for the 3 powers? And the list of Elite ranks for the combat, trade and exploring? I'm sure I've seen one somewhere, but cant think where.

Here you go:

I found the original Frontier: Elite II titles, the online manual was a bit hard to read though, due to formatting:

Outsider, Serf, Master, Sir, Squire, Lord, Baron, Viscount, Count, Earl, Marquis, Duke, Prince.

Edit: Checked against the original Amiga manual. Hah!

Edit-2: Err, forgot about the Fed scum. The titles were:

None, Private, Corporal, Sergeant, Sergeant-Major, Major, Colonel, Lieutenant, Lieutenant Commander, Captain, Commodore, Rear Admiral, Admiral.

Spent some time looking for the info to answer my own question whilst at work today

Next after Count is Earl - so far noone has gotten higher to the best of my knowledge. I'm Earl myself but don't seem to be getting additional rank progression missions.

The first three are definately

Harmless
Mostly Harmless
NOVICE

From earlier elites we have

Poor
Average
Above Average
Competent
Dangerous
Elite

Arch Elite also had an Archangel ranking.

Not sure how the above has been changed at all for ED but I am currently on 'Novice' and I have seen AI ships that are 'Master' and 'Expert'
I have seen many 'Competent', 'dangerous', 'Deadly', and (far too many) 'Elites'.
I have not yet seen any 'poor', 'average' or #above average'.

I will therefore determine for now that the rankings are as follows:

Harmless
Mostly Harmless
Novice
Competent

Master
Expert (possibly these two the other way around)

Dangerous
Deadly
Elite
