Speaking of, can I request a minor typographical error in my ship's name be corrected? I've mollified her with an uncracked canopy and a fresh overhaul, but she tends to be very selfconscious about these things...

Just a suggestion to the opening post. Perhaps a nice addition would be to drop data at permit planets including the Founders World?

I can confirm your EXPLORATION RANKINGS, but in many other threads we came to the conclusion that for people that have mixed values (started to explore before 1.1) that list makes more confusion than anything.

Sure just to add a bit more of a challenge to it (and to boots the permit planets influence around them, especially the founder system).

How ironic, I am trying to get to Elite so that i can make my 1st pilgrimage to shinrarta :D

This is meant to be a database and not a race or challenge, but I agree on what you say as I have made a list of the systems I want to drop my data off on to get the appropriate permits :)

My last expedition netted me somewhere between 80 and 85 million Cr for ~1700 visited systems and ~55.000 LYs trip - that's what I remember. But as you can imagine, I don't have screenies to back it up, let alone the detailed stats (time, planets by type etc). Yep, I am very sloppy explorer :rolleyes:

Range: 18.6 LY
Date Home: 7/5

Total Days: 37
Total Distance(LY): 17191
Rank (after this trip):pioneer
Comment(10 words or less): Clipper too short-ranged to be an effective exploration vessel

Yes - the 4 hour video was painful to put together (and upload!), but if it encourages FDEV to look at the hand-in process for exploration data and improve it significantly, then it was entirely worth it.

Total exploration credits after handing everything in were in the region of 37 Million cr. I had earned about 3.5-4 Million cr from exploration prior to 1.2, and this new data was handed in after 1.2.

I wasn't sure if I should contribute to this, as my highest paying trip was a sheer anomaly (especially with respect to the number of systems visited), was also in Gamma (so the payment scales will no longer apply today) and I didn't have a final screenshot of the stats after all the system data were sold (I didn't think it was important at the time).

Still, good work TheThingIs, dognosh, and all other commanders contributing to the thread.

Oh, I forgot to mention, here's the thread for the whole "please improve the data hand-in process" type discussion.

I haven't heard anything from FDEV in any of their updates that there are improvements coming, and explorers are kinda quiet on the topic, so I can see it being swept under the rug and continuing to be a problem for the future...

Remember it is WINGS right now, and MAC and getting ready for XBOX. I hope 1.4 or 1.5 will address the multitude of problems and the many improvements needed in exploration :)
