Hi,

Just wondered if there was any chance of having this thread as a Sticky?

I keep an eye from time to time just to see what others are making and find it useful as an indicator on what I could possibly be expecting, as I'm sure other Explorers and especially new Explorers do.

Just a thought.

Fly Safe.

Darn, wish I'd seen this thread before I left on an exploration trip... - just a quick question, are people manually counting their finds or using a tool to help them with this ?

I think it's a mix of both. Some Commanders use pen & paper, other use available apps.

Personally I use a spreadsheet I put together that reads the Log file every 60 secs and appends the System I'm in to the sheet, I then record the objects I scan and record the distance to the next system I'm jumping to.

My Log.jpg

There are plenty of other 3rd party tools out there that allow you to record your trip: -

Captain's Log - https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=155545
ED Discovery - https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=138155
Slugsies ED Dairy & Log - https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=65705
Slopey's BPC - https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=76081

To name a few.

Regards

Since I started my second exploration voyage yesterday, I thought I should report my last (first!) one here - it seems to be the longest expedition so far. Only R4nger0 has been out for longer but he had long pauses when he didn't play for weeks, I did play absolutely every day.

There SHOULD BE a handicap list to ..all those asp explorers ..tut-tut..easy..... I,m sitting out on the outer rim..in my original sidewinder.... and panicking cos I only have 48 percent of my hull left for the return trip..( gulp.)

nice to be able to turn on the "factors " clouds 'thingy' IT gives me a good idea of the correct direction to travel....

ermmm anyone have a spare shield cell or hull repair kit available....

Been away for a week, am back now and will update later or tomorrow. thanks all ;)

I did ask a few weeks ago, might be too many stickies will spoil this forum :)

If you can roughly work out what you did, or are doing, I will still accept it :)
