I was merely killing time until the Spurs game build up - my second attempt to play since returning from a break, loaded up my pacifiers, plotted a route to The Sarge & managed all of about 10 minutes before disconnection. 'Logging off now; those unsuspecting freely boosting cmdrs will have to wait, but for those 10mins I really did enjoy the extant FPS hit. Nice work...all 100 of you!

EDIT: Factabulous, I detest all fanboys with a passion...but grrrrr, that was a good one!

Me too. I've decided just to leave it for this evening and try again tomorrow.

I sincerely hope that the fifty-odd second delay before the main menu loads, which I had every time the game returned me to the main menu, is a consequence of the server problems and isn't typical of normal experience.

Incidentally, as I write this I'm listening to Yamiks complain about a massive frame rate drop. Have a fun evening, folks!

Same, the servers are overloaded again. We can't play all at the same time. Such a shame. That's embarrasing for a company this big.

  • Can simulate a whole galaxy with 400 billion star systems.
  • Can barely manage 4000 players requesting CMDR and other data.

Failed to load CMDR data.

Splash screen in VRf shows sidewinder not Krait.

I think some servers are having too many connections, cos you know, new patch means lots of people trying the game out....

Seems to be almost certain during each update that nothing goes as planned.....But I hear its gonna be amazing,...you just have to take their word on it,...Amazing,..LOL!

I have this since the update have been delivered. One night after, it still prevent me to play. My main menu display the old background.
What is very frustrating is that, on my second account - which is dedicated to exploration - it just works ... everything.

Also, i've noticed that on my main account (the load failed one), the game can't exit the game normally. It does exit but doesn't close and stay forever on a black screen. I have to go to the task manager and kill the exe manually. Doesn't happen on my second account, which is on the same computer / same user ...

I was playing in open just yesterday night, but I went to quit and the game dropped to an endless black screen. Now when I launch the game the launcher comes up, but when I go to play, it goes to that same black screen and doesn't go any further. No frontier/Elite Dangerous screen, no CMDR screen, just the void ...

I tried something new, launched the game through steam and chose 'Elite Dangerous' instead of Elite Dangerous Horizons .. it loaded to CMDR screen and I quit. Upon trying Horizons it loaded all the way ... must have been something clogging my internet pipes ... :)
