Load Workshop park into Challenge Mode?

Just curious, all the Workshop parks I've downloaded let me open them in Sandbox, but some are just terrain with some nice entrances that are meant to be launchpads for building on. Is there any way to load these as the starting point for a Challenge map? I like having to earn my money and research and marketing.

Not yet.. you can't make a Sandbox park into a Challenge Mode park. So if the park was made in Sandbox you have to play it as such. :(

Hopefully soon they will change this!!

Oh I'd love this option. I'm useless at landscaping. A blank empty canvas doesn't get my creative juices flowing at all but when I see a landscape I start to see possibilities!

My post comes directly after another post. Reading both in order explains what "you can" is in response to. As well as the title of the post, and the contents of the first post.

You can load a workshop or sandbox park into challenge mode.

Really?? Please load a sandbox park into challenge mode and then tell everyone how you did it. It's one of my negatives with the game currently (that you cannot do it).

Second, calm down on the condescension. It's not fun (prolly not even for you) and doesn't add anything to any conversation.

I don't know how to do it.

I simply said it's possible and provided evidence for it being possible.

I'm looking for the evidence. All you stated was.... "You can. There are many challenge parks on the workshop. Those people haev found a way to do it. "

There are challenge parks on the workshop. There are sandbox parks on the workshop. I don't see where there was a sandbox park that got turned into a challenge park on the workshop.

...There would not be user-created challenge parks on the workshop if it were not possible for people to create them, in-game, using sandbox mode.

Now I feel as though we are talking about different things all together. I could make a map in sandbox mode and challenge you to make an amusement park... but when you downloaded my sandbox park you could not open it in CHALLENGE MODE. You'd have to open it in Sandbox mode (which means unlimited money and all objects open to you).

Whereas, I can make an amusement park in CHALLENGE MODE.. and you'll be able to open it in SANDBOX, but once you make it a Sandbox park you cannot open it in challenge mode (and once again you are stuck with unlimited money and all research open).

Basically the OP wants a sandbox without unlimited money and without research completed on it. It's currently not possible.

I caught you before your edit. I'm not calling you a moron. I was genuinely interested if you could find some way of making it work!

I am EXTREMELY interested in this topic because I really really really want to play a sandbox in challenge mode. If you knew something I didn't re: that subject then by all means I was open to it. I'll mod my files, whatever I have to do. I think it's silly there is no way to play sandbox in challenge mode.

I had seen the reddit post you copied above. I was waiting for it ;)

Awesome, then I'm not the only one at least that wants this. Sandbox mode for me like Creative mode in Minecraft. The only time I use it is to test out some build or theory or plan something out before committing the resources to it in my real game. I like the "management and unlock the tech tree" part of the game just as much as the "get creative" part.

I hope future builds onto the game ass more to this. I'm hoping this game gets quarterly content updates similar to Elite Dangerous.
