Had two screen freezes today that required task kill, one that only lasted a few seconds and also noticed a 'fail to connect to chat server' message.

Glad it's not just me. I was also worried it might be my (subpar) graphics card giving up the ghost....

I don't think it is network related since the game usually just goes on if I get disconnected and it tries several times until it decides that you are offline and everything you do in that time won't get saved. This bug seems more local, something in the engine is stuck or has a higher priority than any other module, even graphics.

My game has been randomly freezing anywhere from a few minutes to hours apart for about 30 sec and then just resuming. No catch up or anything at all, just like it was paused for a few seconds at a time as well.

well glad its not just me, now every time I try to jump to Hyades Sector EB-X d1-94 the game crashes. hmm should I try another system ?

PC here, same problem, though far less often than it was happening.

Edit: I swear, one of these days my phone is going to make a frame shift jump into a wall.

Happening for me more than it has been on previous days.

I admit, it's starting to get pretty annoying.

No and if you go to your Elite Dangerous \ logs i've a feeling that if you look through for every one of those lock ups you might see something like Chat server error 253 etc.. that appears to be the common denominator that i've been seeing on the 3 computers that have had the issue that I've access too.

Same thing happens to me at least once a game session while in the FSS. A session can last two to five hours each.
