Login issue LOOP still a major disappointment, cannot play game at all?

I am having the same issue as OP, and I have played recently but pre-latest patch. Last patch forced log out of the launcher, so have to re-log in.
Running the game from steam, launcher opens, requests a login.
I log in, "You must redeem or purchase a copy of this game!"
I go to check on frontier's garbage website to make sure my Steam account is linked, yup it's linked.
Re-installed, try again - nope, same issue.
Ok, try launching from the icon - same issue.
Try launching direct - same issue.

I have 360+ hours in this game, but magically now Frontier can't seem to find my linked account.
FOH, this is just bad.
 
this might be it https://downdetector.com/status/aws-amazon-web-services/ , currently AWS is having issues on their servers , as far as I'm aware frontier servers are using Amozon web servers , so maybe thats the issue ? it is strange that this is just some steam users but its not unheard of for this to happen , last time AWS was down I couldn't play , and I had the same issue kept asking me to login so I'd say wait till down detector reports the problems resolved see if it works then
 
Woot they finally fixed it yeah something about the account settings frontier somehow my account wasn't properly linking to steam account (so not my problem theirs) once someone had a look at it seen the error, they reset the account then added my steam back to the linked account, so if your trouble you need to contact them and get them to do what they did for me, no issues anymore thankyou to the wonderful person in Frontier that found the problem thank you you're a legend
