Ships Long range or short range weapons?

Why not both? well no... I am running low on module storage space to build both a long range cutter and a short range cutter...

This is my PVE cutter... not my pvp clipper!

So...

I am in a dilemma where I either want to build a long range sniper combat cutter or a short range boom and zoom combat cutter and I don't have the module space or spare time to have both.

Now lets just focus on weapons and ignore internals and such.

I went all long range on mine. Command the battle from a distance, and it also works in favor of keeping your target in the sights.
 
Long range weapons are great for the big three. I use them on a Corvette and being able to deal out max damage at 5.6 km is amazing. On that build the class 4's and class 3 are LR with the remaining kinetic.
