Greetings explorers of the galaxy! Seeing as you all are the most well-traveled players of Elite Dangerous, I figured I would pose my situation to you in this forum. In short, I am looking for a specific type of system to set up as my home base and would like some assistance in finding it. But first, allow me to reminisce:
Waaaaay back in Beta 2 (or maybe 3), I had found the perfect place in the available galaxy. Daimler Settlement was a brand new Ocellus Starport situated in very low orbit around Coelrind 4, a gorgeous deep blue gas giant. Nothing in the game has matched the awe and grandeur I felt when flying out of the slot and seeing this massive blue giant right before me! It's something that I would dearly like to experience again (especially now that I have an Oculus Rift), unfortunately Gamma caused some major changes to the game and Coelrind is no longer the same system... Daimler Settlement is gone; a tiny outpost the only place left to dock. Even my blue gas giant is gone, replaced with an ugly brown-and-grey monstrosity.
So, here's where you fine folks come in: I am looking for a new home that recaptures some of what I loved about Daimler Settlement. I'm looking for a station (not an outpost) in low orbit around a gas giant (preferably blue). Location does not matter, local faction and Power does not matter. I'm currently near Alioth and something in or near Alliance space would be great but I'm willing to travel. If anyone has any suggestions, I would love to hear them!
