Looking for good Anaconda outfitting station

Hi Everyone,

I just bought my Anaconda at Zaonce, but Zaonce is terrible for outfitting a Conda. I first flew it to Leesti (George Lucas) and outfitting there was much better for it but still not good. I'm currently looking to outfit it has a long range trader (shooting for 20LY laden or close). The main components I'm missing and can't find at the moment are: 8D Sensors, 4A Shields and 7D Thrusters.

Anyone know a good Anaconda outfitting station?

Thanks

The High Tech systems will probably be your best bets. Unless someone tells you something more specific, this is about the only way to find those premium modules.

Thanks, that's good information for the forum, but unfortunately I learned that a one a long time ago in a galaxy far far away. Id did, however, realize something cool about the galaxy map just now. When you hover over a system, it will tell you the economy of the system at the left. Nice! I've been using the awesome http://elitetradingtool.co.uk/ (Thanks Cmdr Thrud!) to find the High Tech systems fast too.

lol ok. I wasn't sure how much you knew so I thought it would be a nice start. Good luck finding a station to outfit your Anaconda :) I'm sure someone knows specifically where to get the modules you seek.

If you go on to galaxy map and "view" tab you can swap the colours to show system economies. De-select everything except high tech and have a scan around to see what you can find :)

Leesti and Arexe seem close bets for example.

High-tech is good indeed, but you may also want to crank up the 'MIN' of the population slider a lot, say, until you only see a couple of worlds left, that should help giving a better choice.

Having a good reputation with that station will also increase available modules.

That being said, if you're a backer, or have at least one Elite rank(doesn't matter which), you'll have access to the founder's world, Shinrarta Dezhra. You'll find all the ships and all the modules there, and everything is at a 10% discount, jus' sayin'. Cheaper too buy, everything on site and lowers rebuy cost in case of 'accidents' :p

Well, I found the 8D Sensors in Lansbury (Thomson Orbital), but haven't found the 7D Thrusters or 4A Shields yet (may settle for 4D Shields + boosters if I can find it). Arexe is next maybe.

Flying this thing is like sailing the coolest OIL TANKER ever!

There are many places. If you're interested in a run to Empire space, pm me and I'll provide a few locations that I use to outfit mine. As mentioned, high-tech systems are a good place to start, but there are others. Oh, and based on your last post, what type of load-out are you looking for? Combat, explorer, etc... And... bring your checkbook!!!

I'd really like to add ships and modules to my database but as the modules change quite frequently I'm concerned that it could be misleading. As a result I can't exactly add ships either as folks will just ask why I've not added the modules as well. I'm hoping that the API will give us easy access to that sort of info so it's fast for users to keep the data updated at which point I'd add modules and ships to the searchable database.

Long range trading Anaconda
- 452t cargo
- 19.73Ly Jump range
- 450,20 MJ Shield strength

You could take the shield boosters out of course, but you only loose 0.2Ly in jump range with all of those installed.

And yes, i don't see the point of weapons on such an Anaconda, it would reduce jump range and you're not really equipped to fight when you trade. the shields should give you enough time to jump out in any case.

'Hunted through a dozen high techs to find specific large kit, Hai Chan out by Sanuma was very good. Lewin 38? Ly from Goman is exceellent also. Ive had Gat-2 over by Eravate recommended but not checked it out personally.

Good luck, I know this quest well.

Dalton Gateway - in LHS 3447 (I think) - is always a good bet.
Be warned though it's a fair travel distance from drop-off point - maybe 10 mins or so of Super Cruise.

Ah, the good old (kidding) starter system. Does everyone start there?

Meredith City in LFT 926 is my usual station. It has a shipyard with 13 ships and outfitters that have pretty much everything. The station is about 300 ls away from the jump in point.

Only real downside is I keep getting constantly interdicted there. Pretty much every time I enter the system. No idea why.

What module(s) did you turn of or set to priority 2 to make the 103% power work?

Edit: I had to change one for the 0A Shield Booster to a 0C to get under the power limit.

Came up with this: http://www.edshipyard.com/#/L=606,mpa0_g0_g0__0-8,2-6QBa9Y8SD8D88I,0Bk0AA0AA0AA08c08c08c7Re07207203w

The added bonus is that with this configuration, I also top 20ly fully laden.

Turn off the cargo scoop, right up at the top of the list under the ship selection box.

There is no Cargo Scoop in this configuration, so I assume you meant Cargo Hatch. I've always wondered about turning of the Cargo hatch because I've had cargo fall out before when I've done that and thought it was to blame.
