Looking to buy some Manufacturing Instructions

So many ppl not wanting to play the game  Ah well, at least they have the option (y)

Might have to dust off a suit - now I've finished all my own suits I need a reason to do those missions :D

So many not just picking up what they want from the recovery systems...🤷
Went to recovery system (HIP 19781), took "find a power regulator for powered down settlement mission", went there, settlement is powered up, abandoned mission, got 100,000CR fine :(
Without external tools looks likes its pretty hard right now to find a powered down settlement.

Did you go to one of last week's evictions listed in the first post of the Thargoid target thread in the main forum, or check on the system map which settlements are powered down?

No, I went to DCoH and picked a recovery system with more than one week to go and more than zero population which made sense to me, but none of the settlements in that system were powered down. Checking system map is fine but I've not visited most of those systems. Found one now at Kamato, although there are only three small agricultural settlements and nothing else there.

"Player wants other players to play for them..."

Forum veterans when this is pointed out...😤
That's a translation error then. OP doesn't want others to play the game for them, they also didn't even complain about material gathering. They simply announced that they are looking to buy stuff - which is a feature in this game.

I don't see how those condescending accusations are warranted.

Thargoid recovery sites are popular for material gathering, but often the mission is a dud as the settlement has already been powered up.

There are still all those regular settlements where the faction state is infrastructure failure/bust etc. I scoop up stuff even when it is not needed by me. It will find a home eventually.

I am a little uneasy about requests for a hundred of stuff, preferring instead to pass on smaller amounts, which help more people.

Last week I used HAITCHANE for AX Power Restore missions. By Tuesday, five settlements had become powered up as progress was made.
I have used the DCoH Overwatch site, though I also do some research with INARA and the galaxy map when planning runs.
On arrival for the first time in a potential system in Post-Thargoid Recovery state I use the FSS to determine if there are any AX Combat Zones, a clear indicator that the system is bugged, with Thargoid presence persisting. I have found this post-update 16.
When the FSS is done, check the Nav Panel. Abandoned settlements have a small X icon in the top corner of their settlement icon. If the settlement icon is a plain blue one then it is powered up. All of them may be one or the other but you may also find a mix.

Don't do what I just did... it takes so long to turn the power off after looting the settlement I got distracted, and when I looked back at the screen I was dead - from running out of energy I guess and asphyxiating. And for some reason that meant that I ended up in a penal ship and the mission failed ^^

And then of course the system has no reactivation missions for the one settlement that can be reactivated...

OMG I then find a mission, land at the site, drive up to the PWR building in my SRV and the SRV explodes, killing me... its not my day lol

How is it that there are 28 operations missions, some settlements with 6 missions, and the one I want (the only one that can be powered up in the system) almost never has any, and if it does it only has one mission? Its as if the game fills the mission list with unusable missions for bodies 1 2 3 in the system, by the time it gets to 4 E there's no space for any missions. It wouldn't be that big a problem except this site appears to have no Authorization Scans panel so I have to use eBreach on every single door if I don't have a restore mission.

The new premium pricing possible on carriers makes it viable to run Odyssey missions for mapped platinum mining levels of income.
You do need to lure those "weirdos" that are Good-at-Odyssey to your carrier with those 5M¢/u Suit Schematics, though.

Barely a mil for a single set of Manufacturing Instructions isn't really enticing.
That is more like... "Sure, I'd like to help you out with maybe 31 of those, and here's some Graphene too -- go get 'em, tiger!".

I've raked in around two billion credits already with surprise visits to some carriers.
Though, I bail on carriers that have non-premium pricing on some items.
Got burned with one of those recently.

I kinda feel the direction of this thread is heading in a direction not really intended lol... wasn't this person just trying to list a buy order, instead abuse is just getting hurled around the place..
That's the general theme of these forums lately. Most threads eventually get derailed by a misinterpretation.

The only issue I see with the OP is that there's already a thread for this (not a BIG deal IMO). The first two replies helped out along that line, then it started going off the rails from there. Business as usual here :)

You do not need a mission. Once you know that a settlement is offline, just head over there, boot up with a spare power regulator and loot. If no bodies to scan, use e-breaches and turn off authorisations.

And remember to recover the power regulator.

Yeah, I really should have thought to search. My squaddie mentioned he'd succeeded in having an order filled by posting on the forums and I went straight to it. I'll be sure to add to the existing thread next time. Certainly wasn't expecting the rest of what's been said. Oh well.
