Hardware & Technical Looking to use a Samsung 55" curved 4K 'TV' as a monitor.

I got 2 Samsung Curved - a UE48H8000 Smart 3D 48" TV and Computer Monitor LED 27-inch 1920x1080 gaming Samsung S27D590C. These are from 2014 and are not Utra as they are now but are double HD with Upscaling. The new ones have Samsung's own 4k format only there is no broadcast media for this. Before buying an expensive giant, check if it will do what you want in future especially for VR. I think you need a 3D monitor to match that. My choice would get an Oculus or other once out else you're stuck with a giant elephant.

What about LG's OLED TVs? http://www.lg.com/uk/oled-tvs AFAIK they are 'proper' OLED. They are stunning, but not cheap.

Im on an 84 inch LG. It is 4K but alas I am using Xbox 1 which isn't.

Its still an awesome display though. Very good immersion.
