Lost Connection. How many more times!!

2.3.01 Update coming on Tuesday. There does seem to be a trend between network stability and impending updates. Probably some servers are updated early for testing, leaving the 'live' server pool a bit shorter in numbers than usual.

I think you're right Trent, first couple of weeks after a big update there are bugs. Then those have to be fixed, and that affects gameplay. Then we'll get a few months were everything's cool and smooth. Take the longer outlook, and it's all good.

Oh sorry mate. BT the biggest telecom and broadband provider in the UK. and the worst, Spend an hour on the phone to support and its always a user end fault. ohh they do send you a microfilter every call., even when you don't need one. Like I said mate wasn't an insult, I just had to quoite that for a BT reference

The American version of this is time warner cable. Which I have. I miss Comcast.

Tried to open mission board, can not connect to the server.. thought ok im gona do a passenger mission, can not connect to the serve. Ok im just gona fly around, open the system map 3 seconds later Game disconnect and cant get back in.

I guess thats it for this enjoyable game session.

Umm...the american doesn't get the BT reference.

The Asian doesn't either. But I gather it means "this telco sucks".

We used to have a telco that sucked. Then it got better (or the rest got progressively worse). Now they're all about the same in suckiness (or quality, depends on your point of view).

ps: I'm in Singapore... so yeah every Telco has 1Gbps plan now... and they're all about the same in quality, which isn't to say it's bad... just depends on how lucky/unlucky you are at different times of the day

I thought it was SuddenLink or Brighthouse that took that cake! :p

I guess opinions differ region to region. :D

brighthouse is Time Warner now (calling themselves "Spectrum" now, as if we wouldn't remember). Stupid merger thing. Still miss Comcast, or even AT&T.

Brett C....
Just noticed something, was discussing the network stats in the configuration with a few players and all of us show the 13.8% packet loss....

There's a workaround... But it's not a good one. :( I'm avoiding the game until I can play it without all the delays and disconnections. Maybe we can hope that the imminent patch will improve things.
I hope so, think ill go back to Horizons for now and come back in 2 months time. I see on steam its got a rating of 32% and falling all negitive

Please dont start on that route...
Some CMDR's are having problems and while I dont I fully accept that. Whoever and what i is to blame for that should be sorted out.
Sorting out is not trying to label groups of CMDR's as "white Knights" or the opposite. Most Cmdr's recognize that some people have connection problems. But so many factors are in play, that the issue probably has many answers.

Your answer is hardly helpful in any matter at all.

Cheers Cmdr's
Well said Sir
