Lost Keyboard and mouse controls

I know it sounds silly but I was playing fine last night, everything worked as it should. Logged off and went to bed. Got up turned on the PC and started playing my usual games and surfed the net, as usual which zero problems with Keyboard and mouse, as its clear to show as I am typing here.

I started Elite up, the game Launcher loaded and there was an Update. Downloaded the update and lost my mouse. Joystick worked so I went into settings to see if anything had changed. Nothing was different so I came out of settings and now I have lost the joystick, Keyboard and Mouse.

They all work as they should in other games so it is def a problem with this patch. any work arounds?

keybindings can reset if you visit the control section without one of your usual devices used to play the game ie hotas , xbox pad etc not plugged in or at that present moment is undetected by windows as it thinks your just using keyboard and mouse it simply rewrites your binds for you...

Thanks for this info.

Turns out that they have changed the EXE file which then was rejected by my Anti Virus/Firewall. As its a good AV & FW all in one you have to allow the changes manually and not just click on the auto box thats generated.
Not to re-setup everything lol.
