I'm sure this has been mentioned multiple times but here it goes again...
I was in a firefight taking on some decent bounties with a security force when one of the SF crossed my path and I nicked their precious little ship and now they're all mad at me. I'm wanted in their system with a 100 credit bounty on my head and they all want to kill me for it!!!! 100 freaking credits. Get out of town! It was one stray shot on your shielded ship!
If I'm in a firefight and accidentally hit a ship, that ship should have some leeway with their actions... a Rules of Engagement, lets say.
If I nip your wing, give me some harsh words... a verbal warning.
If I continue to accidentally hit you with intermittent stray shots, perhaps some more harsh words and threaten me with a fine.
Third strike and I'm out. Give me a fine. At no point, however, should that person not give me a chance to pay this stupid fine. There's no reason they should just straight out shoot me to death. This would be called entrapment. "You shot me - I'll give you a fine - now that you have this fine I can kill you!" What the freak!
If I'm straight out attacking you, then start attacking back. Give me a larger fine and call in all your friends. Then I'll consider it fair.
That is all.
Edit: Ok, that's not all...
And when I hover around a Nav point looking for bounties and I find a bounty that is over 25,000 credits and I'm trying rid you of that said bounty, don't attack ME! Attack the wanted man with the bigger bounty that I'm trying to rid you of! His bounty is literally 250 times the size of mine. He's a bad@$$ compared to me! That's like comparing a serial killer to a guy that said harsh words to an old lady or something.
I'm surprised they didn't attack me when I was docking so I couldn't pay my bounty... it would make sense the way this is set up.
