Low Energy FSD Wake - Not scanned?

Hi there, this has happened a couple of times now. Normally my friend and I have no problem playing co-op, using FSD wakes to drop into the same instance.

However, when he has been interdicted and leaves behind a low energy FSD wake, when I try to drop in I can't and get "Wake not scanned".
.
Am I doing something wrong or is it a bug?

AS I understand it, Low Energy wakes are when someone drops from SC to "normal" space (i.e. and instance). High Energy are when someone uses HS to another system.

You can scan High Energy Wakes to get the destination then follow them (if you have a scanner).

Low Energy Wakes can be locked onto to drop you into that persons instance and you don't need a scanner. it's how ED implements multiplayer at the mo, pretty basic but it works except in this instance.
 
Same problem

My friends and I have this same problem...except it happens every time for us...we've never been able to follow each other. So apparently it does work sometimes?

It's gotta be a bug as their FAQ clearly states we should just be able to follow a low FSD wake without scanning.
 
Currently i have the same problem: I lock the low energy wake and want to drop. But the computer tells me, that the wake is not scanned. Is this a known problem?

makes me wonder if you guys with problems are not trying to initiate a HS jump? do you have a dedicated button for SC jumps? i think i got the wake not scanned message when i hit my HS jump button instead of the one assigned for SC.
 
I have this happen on occasion as well. I have separate buttons bound for SC and HC, tried them both and still get 'cloud not scanned'.

that sucks, i have been lucky so far to not come across this bug. wings will hopefully take care of this
