M.O.O.

My Own Opinion:
I read the forums daily, and find that "most" of the posts here are complaints, my own included.
M.O.O. is referring they are starting to sound like cows, hence the MOO designation
I am as guilty as the next guy and actually, I'm tired of MOO-ing - I'm just going to continue playing this excellent, slightly flawed game and try my best NOT to MOO or bray like a donkey over, (basically), things we can do nothing about.
We can ask, or petition, or play the game, as is, and wait for improvements - or NOT play the game and save some ulcers from forming over inconsequential things -
This is a good game, one of the best in the Genre (MOO) -
The memberships model of some other games seems too untrustworthy for me to accept.
Paying an exorbitant amount to just be able to play an "alpha" Build of a game seems suspect to me, - what if it never leaves alpha? -
I know of people paying thousands of hard-earned dollars hoping that some game comes to fruition - no guarantees of anything.
Here you have a game that is currently, completely playable, despite the flaws and bugs we all experience.

I find it matching. As much like the animal which the acronym makes me think of, many of the opinions displayed on these forums are akin to another product of said animal. Namely, manure.

you do know OP theres an abbreviation long standing before your own weird MOO? It's called "imo" or "in my opinion" which is the exact thing you're talking about, except its more understood as no one is gonna bother to remember M.O.O.
I like this one better. So much more therapeutic shouting this out of your office than shouting "IMO!". People would probably be confused if you shouted that.

MOO!!

MOHO … I like that.
Also: i recommend the Exploration subforum. I suspect the guys and gals there are a bit more … seasoned (to not say older) … but in MOO the tone there is (much) more friendly and positive.

Regarding being critical I go with what Theodor W. Adorno once said (not a quote, just summarizing the gist of an essay he wrote): Being critical about things is a duty. Even if it is NON-constructive criticism. While I may be aware of a problem without having a solution, somebody who might have a solution may not be aware of the problem. Thus, just if I express my criticism said other person can become aware of it and provide the solution.
However, it's still important how sth. is said.
And also: it's just a game! No matter the immersion. And I agree with OP, in general it works well.

Is this one of those "Open Letter"s ?

Now you've gone and reinforced the MOO thing. I'm going to remember it now. Well done.
