ANNOUNCEMENT Mac and Thrustmaster Warthog owners

The warthog hotas (and saitek pedals) don't need special drivers in OS X to work!!!! Just tested with a 3rd party USB device HID device reader - all buttons / axes work and devices are recognised correctly just by plugging in.

YAY!

That means we'll be about to run E : D natively and avoid Windows!!!

<wagging tail>

Couldn't be happier!

Sold!

Now how do I tell my wife that I'm upgrading to a 12 core Mac Pro so I can drive an Occulus properly from a Mac.

OOOhhh, you've made an old man very happy.:eek:
Have had the TM Warthog Hotas from day 1 of Alpha and loving it.
Didn't even think of trying it on my PS3 as for Mac well that's where I am headed when it cometh. I like testing HW out so looking forward to trying ED on my 6 month old Macbook Pro:D

Was excited for a moment went reading this announcement. :cool: However, the ThrustMaster TARGET configuration software is not available for the MAC - leaving Apple Elite D users at an extreme disadvantage, even with the Warthog HOTAS. :mad:
Any suggestions? Any HID configuration software for the MAC that can provide the same facilities as the ThrustMaster TARGET software? :S

If I find a solution, I will post it here (first). ;)

ThrustMaster Warthog TARGET-like configuration on the Mac

Actually, it seems there is an answer, and it has already been used by one of the Forum's contributors: ControllerMate :cool:

Cheers to lee_ars for the heads up. It definitely looks worth the money. :rolleyes: ;)
