Made for VR

I don't see why it's so hard to support VR, it's just a matter of rendering the same scene from 2 points. The HUD is the only mildly tricky thing perhaps. This guy posted a way to get it to work btw... https://steamcommunity.com/app/359320/discussions/0/4164121860559128897/
That sounds like what a few of us have been doing since Alpha - unfortunately aiming is practically impossible and you can’t interact with pretty much anything. The camera suite free-cam controls don’t work in VR (vote for the bug report!) and one of the recent Updates now makes our CMDR’s body disappear when clipping into it, so fake-first person bodies has gone. I’ll have a see if what that Steam user is doing is the same thing, next time I play.

I've asked for a refund. They are arguing with me but I'm not giving up.

I bought a deluxe pre-order when they said cinema screen only "at launch" which is obviously implying that full support would come eventually.
Since it's a separate announcement that full support is no longer planed to ever happen, that further confirms that it was planned before and this was a change.
So I was tricked. The game I bought is not the game I was given and I want my refund.

That's what FD advertised in 2014.

Let's add some colour to make this thread a litte more interesting. It was a headline feature once.

O7,
🙃

By the way, when I submitted my ticket for a refund, the first reply said that they couldn't give me one because I had been playing Odyssey for almost a month (since release).

The more I think about this the more it angers me...
I'm told "don't worry, the alpha is a branch; it's way better than this"
Then when that turns out to be a lie, I'm told "we're working day and night to fix it, we know it's bad. Please hang in there."
Now they finally announce a change in features: VR no longer planned to be supported ever, and I'm told
"No, you can't have a refund because you did what we said you should do. You hung in there and kept your patience. And now you waited too long to get a refund."

Unacceptable.

So, take it to a news site.. maybe the BBC Tech/Gaming news. They've reported on Elite Dangerous before. That Rory Caitlin Jones I think it was.

I received the same response to my refund request and in light of everything, I'm furious at the response. This game is dead to me now. It and frontier can rot.

As far as the time I've played since the release, most of that has been in Horizons as Odyysey has been bug ridden with horrid performance. Even when in Odyssey, I've spent less than 2 hours in content specific to Odyssey.
