But the best thing of all imo is the maps are no longer divided into bite-sized grid segments with loading screens stuck between every single 'room'..
I first played Monster Hunter on the PSP and the loading screens between each zone of the map were painfully long, the data was loaded off the disk. Getting hit by a monster from one zone to another was *monumentally* frustrating (there are teeth marks in my old PSP).
I would like to take a look at Sea Of Thieves too, but it looks just a bit too light on content for the money ATM, I'll see where it is in a few months time.
