Horizons Main Menu Hangar

So, the main menu screen for ED has a ship inside a hangar. When I started earlier this year it was a sidewinder. It changed a few weeks ago to a green eagle. I happen to *own* a green eagle gathering dust in a far-off hangar, and I was wondering if this was coincidence, or if it really changes from time to time to different ships in my collection. If it does, I was wondering if you can control that, since I'd rather see my current ship, if possible.

Or is this just a coincidence, and there's a green eagle on everyone's main menu atm?

Screenshot, please, of the main menu in question. I've been playing since Beta and never heard of such a main menu.

It's the main menu in VR. The hangar menu has been there since official Oculus 1.3 / CV1 release (there was a 2.0.x release of Elite at the same time). You can see a ship (used to be the Sidey, now Eagle) and the Scarab SRV in front of it with heat coming off the thrusters.

To answer the OP: no it's a green eagle for everyone, i have no eagle anywhere and i see it too.

Oh, thank you very much for the explanation! I didn't realize there were separate menus... Oh well. I thought it was very neat that it was pulling from my collection when I first saw it, but then it never changed as I changed ships. Too bad. XD
