Station: Trobairitz (Megaship, large pads available, 32 Ls from main star, 117.32 Ly from Sol)
Objective: Deliver Advanced Medicines, Skimmer Components and Building Fabricators

Description
Deliveries to the Reorte Pro-Alliance League will help determine the system’s status.
The system’s controlling faction, Reorte Mining Coalition, wishes to declare independence in protest against Sirius Corporation’s proposed anti-xeno defence pact with the Alliance Defence Force.
Another faction in the system, the Reorte Pro-Alliance League, broadcast a statement in opposition by chief administrator Louisa Leblanc:
Severing Reorte’s links with the Alliance over some misguided idealism would be hasty and short-sighted, given the Thargoid threat this defence pact is intended to prepare for. We believe that increasing supplies of advanced medicines, skimmer components and building fabricators will reassure the public of the security benefits of membership.

The Alioth Independents faction has kindly provided a megaship, the Trobairitz, where pilots can deliver these commodities.
Although Sirius Corporation is not officially involved with these competing initiatives, the megacorp is offering a pre-engineered heat sink module to independent pilots who make deliveries to the Trobairitz. The heat sink module has increased ammo at no extra mass, but with a longer reload time.
  • ]The top 75% of contributors will receive one pre-engineered heat sink module.
  • ]The top 50% of contributors will receive two pre-engineered heat sink modules.
  • ]The top 25% of contributors will receive three pre-engineered heat sink modules.
The dual initiatives begin on the 24th of March 3308 and will run for one week. Should the campaign to support the Reorte Pro-Alliance League reach the maximum tier it will end immediately.
To earn rewards you must sign up as an active participant before delivering Advanced Medicines, Skimmer Components and Building Fabricators to the Trobairitz in the Reorte system.
Be aware that faction-state changes and other disruptive events can negatively impact markets and station services, and could prevent the initiative from running smoothly.

Normally, heat sinks with the Ammo Capacity upgrade has additional mass, but this special heat sink reward does not. I wonder if it'll provide more ammo then what can be achieved through normal engineering?
 
Sirius, the friendly neighborhood MegaCorp, resorting to bribery? I'm shocked, I tell ya, shocked by such surprising revelation! 🤥

At least that heat sink launcher doesn't look super attractive - for an explorer ship it's still too heavy and on most other builds the extra weight doesn't really make a difference.

Normally, heat sinks with the Ammo Capacity upgrade has additional mass, but this special heat sink reward does not. I wonder if it'll provide more ammo then what can be achieved through normal engineering?
I wouldn't count on it, the description reads like it's just the standard increase but with the weight penalty removed.

I just hope the removal of weight penalty is not "balanced" by an over-increase in reload time. As in 20s reload instead of the normal engineered of 15s
 
Another CG where the reward doesn't really fit the task you have to do to get it.

I can see this module being of interest to the Anti-Xeno crowd (if the reload time isn't too long). Explorers want the lightweight mod and Traders probably don't usually bother with heatsinks at all.

With the top 25% and 50% getting more modules though it's going to be a slog for those who must have the latest thing ;)

I'm a generalist. Not particularly anti-xeno nor explorer nor trader.
Still i'm looking forward to get at least 2 heat-sinks per account
 
Where are you getting 2.6t?

And if a 1t difference breaks your build, I suspect you're min-maxing jump range too much instead of exploring.

The normal value for extra ammo heatsink - used only comparatively
