Making a list of amazing sites to visit

What is something every cmdr should visit? I haven't visited these yet, but planning a quick site seeing tour soon:
1. Thargoid Base / HIP 19026 - heard of this but didn't know how amazing it was until I saw AA's video.
2. Ehrlich City, Mercury - I can't believe I never even heard of this before. And its so close!
3. ?

Any space-based life within a present sector.
I put it off until I was only a few hops away from one. Very much worthwhile.

I never heard of this. Is there a system near the bubble with space-based life?

Should all be in the Codex. I'm out in the Abyss, but surely there are things for the Inner Spur.
Gourd Molluscs, Collared Pods, Metallic Crystals etc.
Codex > Hub > Discoveries >choose your region > bio/geo

Agree with @Nasc, this is what I was hoping the CODEX would contain. An area in the Codex where players can add their own comments about a system that the rest of the community can view. For example, you look up a system in the Codex to see that other Commanders have said:
  • Planet 4A is great for photos due to the rings around 4 and the proximity of 4A, suggest these coordinates (x:y) for the best position
  • Be careful when entering station Bloggs, there is a massive crane gantry that blocks several pads
  • Planet 7 has a great double Painite hotspot, check it out ...
You get the idea, a bit like the Lonely Planet guide, some of the information will be relevant, a lot of it probably not, but could be if required. It would also be useful for those that want to be the authors of such notes, some would I bet love to do that, just cruise around giving their impressions of every system they drop into.

Alas, we have nothing like that and I think FD missed a great opportunity.

Unfortunately, I think you seriously underestimate the moderation effort that would be required to keep that usable. Your suggestion effectively turns every object in the galaxy into a forum thread on a giant in-game message board.

To the OP - careful now, this kind of thing is how one thing leads to another and you find yourself leading an expedition. And then RIP to the next several months of your gaming life!

Haha! You're right. I already thought of mentioning this my squad to see if anyone wants to join me. Right now its just Mercury. That Thargoid base takes some extra prep besides just going there.

Carcosa. It's just beautiful there and the people are friendly so long you don't bring a KWS.

Probably any POI recorded in the galactic mapping project would be worth a visit. https://www.edsm.net/en/galactic-mapping#2/0/0/25000|stellarRemnant

There's some 'Notable Stellar Phenomena' in Alaunus.
Not amaaaaaazing or anything - but it's in the Bubble :sneaky:
I think everyone else got everything else i could think of! (But I'm watching this thread with interest 🌍)

edit - found a pic from my visit a while back

Oh, there's also the storm Lagrange clouds out towards the core.
Dang I wish I could upload a screenshot or post a link, but for some reason the site's on the fritz and not letting me post any of them.
The system is Vegnoae WE-R E4-9257.
And there's also this triple Earth-like system I found: Phimboa -Z C27-433

I saw a lot of great things on the Distant Worlds 2 expedition, while it's over, you can still hit the waypoints. Even got my Type 10 to Semotus Beacon, the farthest system from Sol any ship can go, so there's a feat for the big beast.
