And that means extra server load - less than a carrier do, but still

Edit: and why would someone want to dig themselves in a planet while having 400 billion stars at their disposal (and thousands and thousands of billions of planets)?

to put my opinion into perspective, i was thinking of prefab domes. having system clutter in mind. simple Contruction, choose prefab buildings and place them. bases should resemble other bases. no Fallout like Constuction. that would be a mess. but eventually that could be a fun thing when performance improves. base is hidden 100% but if a CMDR gets a visual of your base, it is on. but once you can afford those turrets, at a billion credits per turret. U can defend your base. several CMDRs can take them out. upon destruction, insurance allows you to relocate. The base (not turrets) should be relatively cheap. while farming supplies and storage units be a little more expensive.
