Mamba exists solely for APA PVP? I don't understand what it's for.

I have said that it handles like the 1960's batmobile in other threads - this comment is legit.

The Lincoln Futura (which is what the iconic vehicle was modified from) actually handled pretty well. So like most things Elite, past technology outperforms future tech. WW 3 must have been really bad.

It exists for the most important reason of all: variety. Not everyone chooses his ship(s) just for the sake of META. Some people fly ships simply because they like it.

Just be glad it's actually a brand new ship, and not just yet another copy pasta variant that seems to plague the medium ship segment.

A fair point, but it's pretty useless outside of combat?

i am pretty sure its for motherlode mining as shown in the release trailer of 3.3

for that alone, they have made the seismic charge launcher a medium hardpoint, so you HAVE to undersize fit one of those large ones :D
and for squadron anti-thargoid combat,
so you have to undersize fit the huge hardpoint with a flak too :D

Oh, I had the idea of making one a PAX Mission PvP Blockade runner.

(that is, until I realized the Ship is only available in the Bubble :p )

PS.
We totally need remote Shopping in the Game. If need be, slap +25% onto its price and the usual Transfer cost for any remote-purchased Equipment and say hello to the 21th century :D

I think people are taking this ship a little too seriously. For me it comes across as someone having a bit of fun with ship design. It's like being in a fight and along comes an angry baboon on rollerskates. Utterly ridiculous and falling over everywhere, but if you let it get it's teeth into you....

It is too slow though. It should be the epitomy of 'looks like a fish, moves like a fish, steers like a cow'.
