I doubt that. The Krait shares the humongous size 7 powerplant of the Python, allowing those two to run grade 5 low emissions while being fully equipped. It will still have reason to exist.

I hope FDev takes good care to design a good looking ship kit.
I wasn't very happy with the Krait kit, especially the parts that turned it into some ridiculous rectangular abomination.
This extraordinary cool Mamba design deserves an extraordinary kit.

After seeing the pics of the Mamba, if it turns out to be as good as it looks, I may just have to ditch the FDL.

This could be an interesting ship.

The FDL will forever be part of my little fleet. We have seen so much action together. I love that ship. It has such a cool, sexy design. Those thrusters.... :)
The Mamba appears to be her bigger sister and just as sexy and bad .ss as the FDL, if not more so. These two wonderful sisters will be joined together in my fleet.

I like the medium sized ships and hope it fits a medium pad as the alliance ships don't really do it for me. The cockpit is looking very good, and while I love the down view of the Krait for planetary exploration I can always fly inverted courier style for using the MkXX eyeball. Will keep an eye on this...

It will be a medium, its only a little bigger than a python and there is plenty of room left on a medium pad to fill. The only way it may be too big is if its too tall which i doubt.

I also think it will be medium. I used photos from CMDR who compared Mamba and Python (sorry forgot the thread where I saw it) and CMDR Janichsan who has thread with nice images in this subforum:

It does seem needlessly large.
The significant empty space at the front and rear indicate it won't have that many big internal slots.
Only question is jump range. Hopefully they don't gimp it like the FDL.

Comparing the ventral view superimposed on the Janichsan size sheet, we can see that the blue FSD glow vent things on the FDL are of comparable size to the similar looking elements on the Mamba, which goes against my initial estimates. C4/C5 FSD likely. I am hoping and praying for a C5, but the very real possibility of a C4 scares me

At last a new ZP ship! I think this manufacturer has been bullied far too long by FD now. Hopefully, as been said above, we could equip it with a decent FSD.

Mr Peterson seems content enough anyway…
